Old appliances were replaced with new energy-efficient models. We use compact fluorescent bulbs in most light fixtures. Thermal insulated shades and blackout curtains are on all bedroom windows. We try, with our guests’ assistance, to keep laundry to a minimum and we use biodegradable cleaners. We do not use pesticides in our gardens or anywhere on the property. Our goal is to set a high standard of service, while impacting the earth as little as possible.

Down another flight of stairs will bring you to our fire-pit just a few steps from the beach where you can read a book or take long walk down the beach in either direction. brbrAt the far end is a county park and with the proper permits you can clam, fish and crab. Our view contains amazing sunrises, graceful eagles, seasonal seals, loons, osprey, occasional boat traffic and constant beauty.
