The location on the water is in the highly desirable and secluded Big Creek area of Norris Lake perfectly situated between Whitman Hollow and Sequoyah Marinas. There is plenty of eating & gathering space outside on the lower deck, or enjoy eating at the upper level 'high-top' area while overlooking the water. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the porch swing with just the sounds of nature on this secluded part of the lake. During the day, spend time boating on the clear, glass-like water of Big Creek or just relax and have fun swimming or hanging out at the private covered dock with giant swim platform and picnic tables...in the back of a quiet deep-water cove, there's no need to worry about wake from boats cruising by at high speed. Float in the lake or take the paddle boat or 4 provided kayaks out for a cruise and look for many of the turtles, heron, or beavers that live in the cove. Fishing off a paddle boat is great too - it gives you access to many more spots on the water than you could fit a boat. They had a scenic wedding at Serene Estates on the banks of Norris Lake, Tennessee. Though the day was hot, friends and family happily gathered to celebrate Alyssa and JT’s marriage. It was such a pleasure for us to film their special day and capture the love and joy radiating from them.brThis wedding had a first for us – the groomsmen got ready on the other side of the lake and then took a boat across the lake to the wedding location. That was a blast to film! Also special to note is that JT’s father was the officiant for the ceremony. You could sense the emotion from JT’s dad during the ceremony as he married his son away. And of course, the adorable flower girls brought sweet laughter and joy to the whole event.brThe bridal party had creative entrances for the reception – including their own unique dance moves. Alyssa’s father had a fun, and emotional, welcome to the reception as he reflected on his daughter’s life journey. We loved to see the love flowing from the family and friends joining them in their celebration. Alyssa and JT had the dance floor lit with charming string lights where they danced as a married couple for the first time. Located in the scenic, slow/no traffic, swimmers' cove of Cedar Creek on the Norris Lake shoreline, 'Cedar Cove' cabin provides everything needed to bring family and friends together. brbrWalk in the ground level entrance to find a huge kitchen containing two oven/ranges, two large refrigerators, two dishwashers, two sinks, and a huge island overlooking the dining area and the fireplace equipped living room. Strategically placed TVs ensure no ballgame is missed. Two bedrooms on this street level ensure anyone having problems negotiating stairs can still join the fun. brbr**Prior to submitting questions, you must read entire note section below. **brbrThe upper level provides four bedrooms and an additional TV equipped living room with vaulted ceiling. Relax, rain or shine on the covered deck overlooking the cove's swimming area.brbrThe lower level provides three additional bedrooms and the huge recreation room with TV, billiards, shuffle board and twin 'Gamer TVs'. Exit the patio door to find a perfect, large, flat, ground level area to enjoy outdoor games. Enjoy your hot tub and camp fire overlooking the lake and your personal dock. The hot tub is emptied, cleaned, and refilled with fresh city water prior to your arrival. brbrThis neighborhood has a small, free, community pool with kiddie pool 1/3 mile from the cabin up a very steep street. It is clean but nothing fancy. There are no life guards or concessions. You don't need a pass. Free parking is available. Around the corner from the home is the boat ramp. There is parking for approximately 5 vehicles directly in front of the home. Trailers and extra vehicles are parked in the designated trailer parking area inside our neighborhood. brbrThe impressive dock has a huge swim platform w/ ladder. A large covered slips measure 10’ x 24’ and room for 2 more boats on the outside along with a jet ski pad. From this quiet cove, idle 5 minutes to the last no wake buoy and see the famous Cedar Creek Jumping Bridge. brbrNo boat No worries! Simply contact NorrisLakeWaterSports (ask for ‘10% NorrisLakeVillas discount’) or OasisNorrisLake. Both deliver right to your dock. Nearby Sugar Hollow marina (closest marina) or nearby Shanghai Resort and Springs Dock offer daily/weekly boat rentals. This new dock does not yet have electricity. brDue to liability reasons, we do not provide life jackets, watercraft, floating toys....
