One route down the mountain takes you to the National Park side of downtown Gatlinburg, or take a different route down to access the Gatlinburg bypass to head to Pigeon Forge (or the other end of the Gatlinburg strip!).brbrBecause it is a tourism destination, Gatlinburg is home to many sightseeing attractions and there is no shortage of things to see and do. Aside from the National Park, Gatlinburg also hosts the only ski resort in Tennessee (Ober Gatlinburg) with three chair lifts and eight trails, which is accessible either by road or by a gondola ride from the city strip. I fell in love with the Smoky Mountains since the first time I set eyes on them. I came down to Gatlinburg for some R&R and next thing you know we bought a chalet to eventually retire in. I fixed it to my liking and now family, friends and YOU are able to enjoy relaxing and a great adventure…hence the name “Secondhand Lions” (a favorite movie of mine). Conveniently located just a few short minute’s to downtown Gatlinburg or to the top of Ski Mountain (Ober Gatlinburg), quiet walkways and, of course, the Great Smoky Mountain park entrance where the adventure really begins.brbr“Secondhand Lions” …Tranquil setting with all the comforts of home! The great room is decorated in Native American art. The bedrooms are equipped with a pair of Jacuzzi Hydro Message Tubs for that deep relaxation after a long day of hiking or shopping- whichever you prefer.brbrSurrounded by trees and wildlife make this a very relaxing and comfortable stay.
