With one bedroom and bathroom upstairs and one bedroom and bathroom downstairs it is a perfect spot for two couples to have plenty of privacy. Open up the huge glass doors and let the lullaby of the river coming around the bend echo through the cabin. Don’t forget the front porch where you will want to spend most of your time taking in the view and listening to the soothing sounds of nature. Watch closely for the huge cranes, hawks, geese, ducks and bald eagles that patrol the river. After a lifetime of tearing down old barns and cabins it was time to put some of the reclaimed wood to good use. The oak logs were all reclaimed from standing dead timber right here on the property. The ceilings throughout the cabin are made from reclaimed beetle kill ash trees harvested just across the river. The flooring is made from 100+ year old reclaimed heart pine. All of the trim work in the cabin is reclaimed barn wood salvaged from local barns that we have dismantled through the years.brFishing in this area is a big attraction so bring your fishing poles and get lost in the beauty of the western North Carolina mountains.
