There are 4 large bedrooms (three masters), 3 full baths, and an enormous kitchen with 30 linear feet of granite counter space. Three glass doors open onto your wrap around deck. The ground level features a large entertainment area, bar, full bathroom and a second full kitchen. This entertainment area has access to the yard, and the private dock area. brbrFor those tired of waiting in line at a crowded public boat launch, this waterfront home features your own private boat launch and large newly rebuilt dock (Boat lift is not available for use).brbrWaterfront fun at your backdoor!brbrAn excellent feature of this home is that is has wraparound upper decks as well as a covered lower deck. The wrap around deck also has gates that can be closed to secure children or pets. Because of the way the house is situated, there is always plenty of sun and plenty of shade! We have seen some impressive inflatables out there. Great fun for the entire family! Then use the pump to deflate them to take them home. We have left some of our favorite inflatables there for guests to use (although we cannot guarantee their availability so best to grab one to bring with you). It is just a short walk to the local arcade, the Friendly Mart grocery store, and the infamous Surf City “Trailer Bar” (2 blocks). Want to head to the beach The home is also a short walk (0.3 miles) to children’s park/playground and (0.4 miles) public beach access with bathrooms and showers. A cross walk (at the crossing by the “Friendly Mart”) makes the walk to the beach and the park easy and safe. The children’s park features an adult fitness area so you can get a bit of exercise while the kids play. There is also a bike stand if you chose to ride there and ample parking if you choose to drive. brbrThe home has a large driveway with ample room to park 6 cars (because sometimes when you have a great house at the beach people just show up!). This location allows for easy access on and off the island while also providing a bit of distance from the central business district. South Shore Drive is unique on Topsail Island for many reasons. It is close to the bridge, dining, shopping and groceries. It also offers a residential board walk off the main road. This 2 mile board walk, or secondary road, has a 25 mph speed limit and offers the perfect place for a nice walk or morning run. Another advantage tobr1021 South Shore is its proximity to a beach access about 150' (or three lots) to the South. And the property is one of the larger lots on the island that includes quite a few majestic maritime live oaks, that are rare among residential properties around here.brbrThe House:brThe house was chosen for its traditional beach cottage style. It has three bedrooms downstairs with a large living/dining/kitchen area as well as a large loft upstairs. The three bedrooms on the main level will be 1 King, 1 King and 1 Queen, the loft area has 4 Twins. The house has a total sleeping capacity of 10 people. In addition to the sleeping space upstairs there is a game nook with a foosball table, books and board games. Outside there is a large porch on the street side with both covered and open space. In the backyard there is a large pool with a slide and plenty of area to lounge, grill and enjoy time with friends and family. If you are a fisherman and would like to bring your boat to the island, South Shore is located 1 mile from the public boat ramp, and our driveway can easily accommodate up to a 30' boat/trailer. If you like to fish in the ocean, the boat ramp is roughly 8 miles via the ICWW from Topsail Inlet.brWe have tried to make the house appealing to families and have included amenities we enjoy when we travel, to include beach chairs, two beach cruisers, and even a second refrigerator in the pantry.brbr***Trip Protection*** We feel so strongly about trip protection during the Atlantic hurricane season (June lst to November 30th that with a seven day rental and a proof of purchase at the end of your stay we will provide a $100 refund. And if you are staying less than a seven day rental during the hurricane season, we highly encourage you to purchase trip protection through VRBO or your preferred third party vendor.
