It it laid back and secluded, although still within 15 minutes from all kinds of large grocery stores, big-box stores, and restaurants in Hendersonville. brbrThe final 1.3 miles to the cabin are on a rough dirt road that gets rather steep right before the cabin's driveway. The dirt road portion is about a 5-6 minute drive and do-able in regular cars, except in icy conditions, when it is best to have an SUV or 4-wheel drive. (We regularly drive up in a Toyota Prius or Dodge Mini-Van and have no problems, but we go slowly. It is important to remember that this IS a mountain dirt road!)br

Winter, when the leaves are off the trees, can be especially interesting due to the additional views that appear through the bare trees.brbrSPRING: Spring days are warmer (60-76) while nights remain chilly (36-53). Spring is great for hiking followed by a dip in the hot tub in the evening. Spring sometimes has a cold spell that drops temperatures near freezing for a night or two.
