Very Remote with all the comforts of home. Even had wild turkeys come through the year when we were there. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Excellent communication as well! -Joe

Loved our stay on Bearwallow Mountain! The cabin is a bit of a drive from the towns that we intended to visit, but the drive was worth it! We loved the coziness of the cabin, the layout, the stone fireplace, and overall amenities. It was about a 30 minute drive to Hendersonville and Asheville, which were the two primary areas we wanted to visit. We also drove to other towns that were so charming! I had no idea the cabin was close to so many apple orchards and would love to visit when apple picking is in season. The beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There was plenty of firewood, and we enjoyed warm, crackling fires throughout our stay.

Wonderful cabin. Beds slept great. Wonderful kitchen setup with everything you need. Fireplace was really nice and enjoyable. Close to Asheville and Hendersonville. No problems with anything. Would definitely stay there again. Owner was so nice and friendly.

This was our second stay in Bearwallow Den and it was just as perfect as the fist time. We were there this year for our 35th wedding anniversary and completely enjoyed everything about the cabin and location--from enjoying the fireplace in the evenings to sitting on the porch during the day while talking and drinking coffee. It was immaculately clean and very well maintained, very quiet, and provided everything we could possibly need except for any food that we wanted. The bed was comfortable to both of us. The outdoor areas were also well maintained and pretty. We both felt like we were at home the moment we walked in the door. It was so perfect and welcoming that we never even turned the television on the entire stay--we were that content! We are already planning our third stay!

*** From the minute we arrived, we were gently persuaded by the beauty of Bearwallow Den’s natural setting and perch position to take in memorable sunsets and all that nature’s best has to offer! The multi-viewpoint wrap-around porch sponsors rocking, swinging or just hanging out. I enjoyed multiple Cherry Cokes with my Partner as she sipped down her Coffee, both of us in awe of the surroundings! The Den is cozy and very comfortable; with everything a guest could possibly need to fully enjoy their stay. The location is prime, we made short scenic drives to Downtown Hendersonville and Ashville. Our gracious and kind Host/Owner, Teresa, was always at the ready to meet our needs and to give us tips and pointers on the richness of the area. Bearwallow Den is uniquely appointed, clean, and well maintained, inside and out. BEARWALLOW DEN IS THE PLACE TO LIVE IN THE MAGNIFICENT NOW - SUNUP TO SUNDOWN!!!

where to start, from the time we arrived everywhere we turned inside or outside this property did not disappoint. The beautiful construction of the property to the decor was 1st class and gave off a great Vibe. It is not only unique, hidden yet close to town if you choose to leave the property and adventure out to do and see Hendersonville and surrounding areas including Ashville also the home is luxurious in amenities.2 LARGE Master bedrooms 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs with a spacious beautiful kitchen and living /sitting area with lovely fireplace. The HUGE wrap around porch provides lots of choices for early mornings or late afternoons to breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the wildlife and sounds of quiet while you know the World is going on yet you have escaped for a bit and can do as much or as little as you want....you are in Mountain paradise. Can not wait to return to this property...the host Teresa was awesome with all kinds of info on the property and area.

The house lived up to the advertisement which is unusual these days. The owners were very nice, made check in easy and provided accurate answers to my questions. If you are looking for seclusion, privacy with great sunsets this is the place to be! I recommend this place to everyone & I will be back again.

My husband asked for a log cabin and I wanted beautiful and up to date. We both got what we wanted. The setting was beautiful and property well maintained. Teresa was very responsive. The drive into town was not long. Overall, a great trip.

Our family was looking for a mountain cabin with an indoor wood burning fireplace and outdoor fire pit to enjoy a long fall weekend of apple picking and enjoying the fall colors. This cabin was perfectly equipped, cozy and a real mountain getaway. Our family will love to stay head again and again.

Stayed for a friends wedding who was getting married elsewhere on Bearwallow mountain… so beautiful! The wind was wicked when we were there but I swear we watched the leaves change color before our eyes. The neighbor had dogs that barked quite a bit but it did not disturb our sleep. We saw many turkeys! This house was listed on another very common rental booking website for a lower price, but I was blocked from booking in that website. I don’t mind paying a fair price for a wonderful place and good hosts, but didn’t appreciate the bait and switch. I believe the problem was remedied. Would stay here again.
