A 2-min walk the other way is the public boat launch for a lovely sunset or fishing spot, and an amazing playground. You can walk easily to the pier via the beach (about 2 miles away). Emerald Plant. Shopping, Food Lion or Publix, water park, cinema, shopping, mini-golf, restaurants, canoe and kayak rentals and surf shop are only 2-3 miles away. You'll often find wonderful tidal pools on our beach during low tide. Bring flashlights to look for crabs at night and a pair of binoculars to watch the dolphins or birdwatch. Fishing: The Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier is a 2-mile walk on the beach to right. Surf fishing is popular especially when the beaches are quiet.
