These friendly “cocktail cows” love attention, and you’re welcome to pet, brush, and feed them treats. brbrThings to Note: brWe do require a $300 security hold to book. This is through a software-connected host platform, owner-rez, that is allowed by AirBnb. It is held 2 days before your stay and released upon checkout. This protects our property from damages by guests that Airbnb might not cover, and gives us peace of mind that guests will be respectful of our place that we have worked so hard to create for them! brWinter Glamping ExperiencebrFrom November to mid-March, the treehouse transitions into a true off-grid glamping retreat. To prevent freezing, the water lines are shut down, but we provide 5-gallon water jugs for drinking, cooking, and cleaning, along with rinse-free bathing wipes. The toilet still functions above 20°F, with a backup port-o-potty available just in case. Heat is provided by a wood stove or a propane heater. Rates are lower in winter to reflect these seasonal changes—if you’re seeking an off-grid adventure, this is it!brbrLocation & Nearby AttractionsbrLocated in Canton, NC, near Waynesville and just west of Asheville, the treehouse sits at an elevation of 3,100 feet, rising to 3,700 at the ridge. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, and the scenic Pigeon River for tubing and fly fishing. The property itself offers peace, seclusion, and the option to disconnect completely from the world. The only shared areas are the cow barn and trails. We do have a creekfront camping spot on the other end of the property that also hosts guests. brbrSustainable & Thoughtful DesignbrWe designed the treehouse to be both luxurious and environmentally conscious. Every detail, from the organic bedding and bamboo sheets to the handcrafted furniture made from local and salvaged wood, was chosen with sustainability in mind. The kitchen features a propane cooktop, a beautiful copper sink, and all the essentials for off-grid cooking, including a cooler for food storage.brbrThe Off-Grid ExperiencebrWhile this retreat is beautiful, it’s not for everyone! Expect some wildlife, rustic charm, and an eco-friendly lifestyle. There’s no WiFi, and power is limited to essentials like lighting and phone charging. Hair dryers and other high-energy appliances won’t work here. If you love nature, sustainability, and a peaceful escape, you’ll feel right at home.brbrWildlife & SafetybrBeing surrounded by miles of forest means encountering wildlife is possible. Guests have spotted deer, bears, coyotes, bobcats, and more. Be mindful of food storage, use the provided bear-proof trash bin, and make your presence known while exploring. Safety is key, but there’s no need to worry—just be prepared and enjoy the experience!brbrThis treehouse isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an opportunity to experience sustainable, off-grid living in the most magical way. Enjoy an exhilarating outdoor shower and a homebiogas toilet with a scenic view. Thoughtfully designed with handcrafted woodwork, a charming kitchenette, copper finishes, and plush organic linens, this treehouse takes glamping to a whole new level of luxury. brbr brbrMeet the Highland Cows brbrGuests have exclusive access to our adorable Highland cattle herd—Moonshine, Martini, & Mojito. These friendly “cocktail cows” love attention, and you’re welcome to pet, brush, and feed them treats. brbr brbrWinter Glamping Experience brbrFrom late November to mid-March, the treehouse transitions into a true off-grid glamping retreat. Rates are lower in winter to reflect these seasonal changes—if you’re seeking an off-grid adventure, this is it! brbr brbrLocation & Nearby Attractions brbrLocated in Canton, NC, near Waynesville and just west of Asheville, the treehouse sits at an elevation of 3,100 feet, rising to 3,700 at the ridge. Explore nearby trails, visit local farms and markets, or dine at charming restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, and the scenic Pigeon River for tubing and fly fishing. The property itself offers peace, seclusion, and the option to disconnect completely from the world. brbr brbrSustainable & Thoughtful Design brbrWe designed the treehouse to be both luxurious and environmentally conscious. Every detail, from the organic bedding and bamboo sheets to the handcrafted furniture made from local and salvaged wood, was chosen with sustainability in mind. The kitchen features a propane cooktop, a beautiful copper sink, and all the essentials for off-grid cooking, including a cooler for food storage. brbr brbrThe Off-Grid Experience brbrWhile this retreat is beautiful, it’s not for everyone! Expect some wildlife, rustic charm, and an eco-friendly lifestyle. There’s no WiFi, and power is limited to essentials like lighting and phone charging. Hair dryers and other high-energy appliances won’t work here. If you love nature, sustainability, and a peaceful escape, you’ll feel right at home. brbr brbrWildlife & Safety brbrBeing surrounded by miles of forest means encountering wildlife is possible. Guests have spotted deer, bears, coyotes, bobcats, and more. Be mindful of food storage, use the provided bear-proof trash bin, and make your presence known while exploring. Safety is key, but there’s no need to worry—just be prepared and enjoy the experience! brbr brbrWe do require guests to e-sign our rental agreement that we will email to you, and request a $300 security deposit hold (not a charge) that we will release upon checkout. This is just a precaution for us letting people we don't know stay at our place and respecting it. brbr brbrWhat's Nearby brbr* Waynesville (8 miles) brbr* Canton (8 miles) brbr* Ten Acre Farm (2.4 miles) brbr* Jukebox Junction Restaurant (3 miles) brbr* Dollar General & Gas (2 miles) brbr* Asheville (26 miles) brbr* Ingles Grocery Store Waynesville (9 miles) brbr* Publix Grocery Store Waynesville (10 miles) brbr* Pigeon River Outfitters Tubing (8.5 miles) brbr* Lake Logan (4 miles) brbr* Starbust Swimming Hole (7 miles) brbr* Blue Ridge Parkway via 215 (15 miles) brbr* Blue Ridge Parkway via Waynesville (15 miles) brbr* Blue Ridge Parkway via 276 (17 miles) brbr* Blue Ridge Parkway Highest Point at Richland Balsam 6053 ft-(24 miles) brbr* Chestnut Mountain Biking Park (12 miles) brbr* Maggie Valley (18 miles) brbr* Cold Mountain (its technically behind our ridge, but 9 miles driving) brbr* Smokey Mountain National Park (60 miles) brbr* Hendersonville (41 miles) brbr* See the Elk at Cataloochee (29 miles) brbr* Wayne E.
