The area has been through a lot but thankfully the Rock Ridge family cabin made it through! We are excited to welcome back our returning and new guests. Come enjoy all the mountains have to offer. brThis 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin is just what the family needs to get away and enjoy all the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. Kitchen has been renovated and we also recently added smart TV devices so you can stream your favorite shows while relaxing on our over-sized couch surrounded by the trees and roaring creek outside. Hike the mountain trails, sit on the porch over Cattail Creek or take a drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The porch sits just an a ridge over an active mountain creek. This place is a hikers paradise with many trails in the area and even the mountain roads right outside the door that make for a great walk. Hiking not your thing Powerful wifi is streaming so you can stay connected to the outside world if you need to. Also some neat things to see in the communities surrounding the cabin. Inside, the 2019 Bathroom Renovations included upgraded sinks, toilets and a washer and dryer! The three bedrooms have a queen bed in one room, a full sized log bed in another room and two log bunk beds (full and twin) in another room. One of the living rooms has a pull out sofa as well. There are two full bathrooms. One with a shower and another with a tub. There is a great room with a huge sectional couch, tv, full kitchen and table. There is a wood burning fireplace in the other living room. The cabin also has a heater in the main section that keeps you very comfortable. We also have air conditioning in the two main living areas along with ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The mountain's are calling, we look forward to having you!

What’s unique to this property is that you have both long-distance mountain views and river views on the same property. There are many walking trails from the lodge down to the river to explore. Walking down to the overlook platform from the lodge to relax and drink your coffee and listen to the river is an awesome experience. There are a lot of hiking trials with majestic waterfalls in the area like Roaring Fork waterfall which is one of the regions prettiest falls, and one of the easiest to hike. Another one of our favorite things to do is a trip to Linville Falls which is only about 25 minutes away. Pack a picnic when you go and after your hike from seeing the huge waterfalls we suggest you stop by Linville Falls Winery on your way back. The wine and atmosphere there at the vineyard is gorgeous. Make a day trip to Asheville. It’s only 45-55 minutes away and has some of the best restaurants, microbreweries, galleries and outdoor adventure activities like ziplining in the Southeast. Another must see if you have not been to Asheville is a visit to the incredible Biltmore Estate. A visit here is a must as its one of the most iconic estates to visit in the United States.
