Peaceful Cabin Nestled On A Ridge In The Blue Ridge Mountains At Cattail Creek

Love the creek rigt off the back porch. Host was quick to respond. The couch in the main room was so comfortable!

Great cabin for spending quality time with loved ones. Layout is perfect for it. Just what my family needed to recharge our batteries. The host provides a lot of helpful information beforehand, and I particularly enjoyed the various suggestions or tips posted throughout the cabin. Rather thoughtful.We'll definitely be back one day.

Great location and nice cabin, but unfortunately it was not clean. We had to wipe everything down. There were so many cobwebs and dust bunnies and general uncleanliness that we felt very uncomfortable.

Spent birthday with family and twin sister, including 88 year old mother. Plenty of room to spread out. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. Spent much of the time sitting on the back porch which overlooked a small waterfall. A little piece of heaven.

We loved the cottage. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and tje 2 little dogs. We loved tje creek below and the vidit from the bears ?. We loved beimg able to have a fire pit for bonfires. We lost power for 2 hours no big deal.

We have stayed at this cabin 3 times. Very cozy cabin and beautiful location. The owner is always very responsive to our needs. We will be back! Thank you

We had a fun and relaxing time at the cabin while escaping the awful heat back home. Great place for all ages. A hike to MtMitchell, jumping rocks in the creek, s’mores over the fire, lots of games, reading on the back porch rockers, and sketching the view of the creek.

Perfect summer escape from the heat in a lovely cabin by the creek! We love the cattail creek community for its remoteness, perfect mountain vacation environment, closeness to Burnsville, difficult hikes, and coolness in the shade of Mt Mitchell. This cabin had easy access to Cattail Creek, thoughtful appointments, comfortable beds, a secluded yard - was perfect, and we will definitely be back. It was also a great spot for a well behaved dog who doesn’t need a fenced in yard. Some notes for future guests - the neighborhood is on mountain roads…some of the rentals we have had here recommend 4 wheel drive, but this cabin was easy to access in the mini van. They do not recommend drinking the water in this rental, so make sure and bring jugs of water for your use. Thanks for sharing such a special place. Looking forward to returning!
