The Bear Den offers a peaceful mountain setting within 20 minutes of the App State campus, downtown Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and Appalachian Ski Mountain. brbrEnter into a vaulted great room with stone gas log fireplace, dining area with seating for your whole group, and a fully equipped kitchen with stone countertops and stainless steel appliances for an updated mountain feel. The Queen bedroom and private bath are located on the main level for easy access. The back deck includes outdoor dining space with winter views of the mountain ridge, and an electric grill waiting for you to cook up a feast. brbrUpstairs features a large King suite with private bath and TV, as well as a spacious loft area with Queen-sized sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodation. brbrEntertainment includes a hot tub on the private back deck, Foosball in the loft area, a firepit at the end of the driveway, and televisions with YouTube TV provided, and ready for you to log in to any of your other favorite streaming apps.brbrEnjoy quiet walks along the Crystal Mountain community roads and trail, where you're likely to see deer and other wildlife.brbr**For larger groups needing additional accommodations nearby, please consider booking The Bear Den along with any of our nearby homes Crystal View, Heather Heights Cottage, and Crystal Mountain Lodge.brbrADDITIONAL NOTES & INFORMATION:br- EV charger is available for guest usebr- There are 1-2 extra street level parking spots --great for overflow and winter parkingbr- This property is not pet friendly. There is also a starter set of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be providedbr- Firewood may be added at the time of booking under Additional Fees after entering payment info or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.br- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10ambr- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.br- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. Keep outside noise respectable.br- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. Located only 15 minutes from downtown Boone and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway on 5 private acres, this home offers the solitude and tranquility you need for a peaceful mountain getaway.brbrEnter into the main level living room which features a stacked stone gas fireplace, flat screen TV, and cozy furniture for family and friends to gather. The dining area has a table that will seat 8 people next to another fireplace. The kitchen is complete with a 6-burner gas range, griddle, Keurig pod style coffeemaker, 2 ovens and utensils making it perfect for the family chef to put together a meal. Just off the kitchen is a covered deck with a gas grill and beautiful views!brbrThe master bedroom, located on the main level, has a king size bed, a large bathroom with a jetted tub, tile walk-in shower, and his & her sinks. Also on the main level are two more bedrooms, each with one queen bed.brbrUpstairs there is a bedroom with a queen bed and a private bath with a shower/tub combo. Lastly, head downstairs to find a bedroom with a set of twin bunk beds and 2 twin beds and a bathroom.brbrStep outside onto the deck to admire the long range views of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The yard is big enough for a game of football or frisbee while dinner is cooking. Relax around a fire and enjoy smores and weenie roasts.
