One of the most popular summer activities around Boone is to take advantage of the area hiking trails and swimming holes. There are over 70 freshwater swimming holes around North Carolina, and we are fortunate that many are right here in the High Country. Locals, Appalachian State University Students, and tourists love to find these natural water parks, but locating one can be tricky. If you stay at the Trailhead Cabin, you won't even have to get in the car to access one of the most desired hiking trails in the High Country. brbrThe main floor and loft have the rustic ambiance of an authentic log home.
