For those who like to participate in the King Salmon run in late summer or fall, enjoy staying right at the mouth of the Salmon River, in a comfortable, cottage on the River's bank, located right in the heart of the action at the Salmon River Lighthouse & Marina. Lake Ontario is nearly on your doorstep where you can watch the charter boat fishing fleet get underway for the deep waters of the Lake in summer and fishing boats pursuing Salmon closer to the Lake's shoreline in the fall. In the river, right in front of you in late August, September and early October, you can see Salmon surfacing and jumping as they run up the River to spawn. Some days are windy, some are calm, many are sunny and some are brisk, but a stay at the Salmon River Lighthouse & Marina will immerse you into the entire experience.
