Come camping on land that borders the state park! brbrThis campsite is known as the Canyon and is fully equipped with camping gear. it is located next to a creek which runs through a ravine.brPrivate, rustic and only a 5 min drive to Minnewaska State Park and 15 minutes to New Paltz.brThe site is in the woods, just a short hike from the parking area about 100 yards away.brPerfect for car campers, backpackers, climbers, bikers and anyone who wants to be close to the park and get in and out easilybrbrThis campsite is designed for folks who want to visit Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk or one of the other local hiking attractions. it is located on a wooded lot on our property.brbrThis is the closest rental to Minnewaska State Park on this side of the ridge and it is likely the closest rental to the park from either direction. brbrThe Campsite is private but it is not remote. It is just off the Shawangunk Scenic Byway so there can be some road noise. The site is not designed as a destination campsite. There is not much to do here, it is designed as a haven for those who will be hiking nearby and provides local, hassle free access to and from the park on busy crowded weekends.brbrThe tent will hold 5 adults comfortably and we have outfitted the site with many things that campers will find helpful.brbrThe site is set up to handle up to 10 people easily but more tents will be required. There is an added fee of $20 for each additional person over 5 people to account for the wear and tear and impact on the site. Just a 10-minute drive to Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve, 15 mins to High Falls and Stone Ridge. 30 mins to Ashokan Reservoir. There are many farm stands, breweries, galleries, restaurants only mins away. Rock climbing, hiking/ biking trails ( bring your bike) and secret swimming holes within a few minutes.
