The Chateau Clark was built in 1900. Though she has had significant changes through a complete remodel, she still has plenty of old-time charm along with robust and beautiful modern upgrades. We have had plenty done by the Amish including the custom-built Hickory bedroom sets, 12-person dining room set, doors, Staircase, and hickory trim throughout. This has been our second home/ ski chalet for many years and is looking forward to others enjoying her more moving forward. There is plenty of room, offering 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. You won't be short on a gathering space. The kitchen, Dining room, and Living room all flow together very nicely. There is plenty of dining space for a fabulous meal and to later entertain. The living room has (2) couch sets. One wrap couch ( with built-in sleeper sofa ) is closer to the gas stove, while the other regular set with a full couch and love seat is situated closer to the main TV and Dining area. brbr We pride ourselves on making sure that all of the beds are very comfortable to sleep in. Everyone loves the right tools to get a great night's sleep. We always make sure there are adequate amounts of plates, cups, glasses, silverware, and cooking apparatus for the size group that we allow to sleep in our properties. In case there is a power outage this property is equipped with a whole house generator assuring you we are making every effort you will never be without electricity. brbr br The location is superb, being 1/2 mile to the main light downtown and 3/4 mile to Holiday Valley. brbrThe back door entrance area offers plenty of space to store your skis and snowboards in the winter, along with coolers, and added belongings. In warmer weather, it can be used to store Golf Clubs, Tennis Rackets, or whatever else needs to be stored indoors. Once you walk in, to the far left are a few stairs to walk up and enter the house. The closer door takes you into the basement which is partially finished with a bit of a game room including Ping Pong, Air Hockey, and Foosball, as well as one of the full bathrooms. The galley kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals for a crowd including a waffle maker for breakfast and a fondue set for apres ski. The wood treatment is from a local barn built circa 1840 and taken down by hand before being repurposed @ Valley View. The table top was custom made by a local craftsman and made of reclaimed White Oak along with the step to living room and loft. The loft railing was replaced with a support beam from the same barn. A variety of games, books and puzzles can be found in the media center and were curated to create engaging connections and create lifelong memories. When the day is done and everyone is exhausted the sleeping arrangements will be sure to please. The large master bedroom on the second floor enjoys plenty of soft natural light for a gentle morning wake up. You may not want to get out of the Thuma King Bed w/ Serta hybrid mattress and the softest sheets you’ve ever experienced. 42” smart TV recently installed! A large closet for extended stays and a handsome full bathroom is located in this room as well. A loft w/ a queen & armoire is located by walking through the master & overlooks living room. Each bunkbed has a double bed on the bottom (2 kids each or one adult ) and the top bunk has a single bed on both. brbrUpstairs on the main floor is the kitchen and living room with fireplace and bathroom. brbrYou can eat on the large table or pull up a stool to the granite counter top which is a great buffet style service area. brbrThe wall-to-wall window/door slides open to the balcony which has a great view of the ski hills and golf course. brbrUpstairs from there is an open loft but due to recent Short Term Rental laws in Ellicottville, it can't be used as a bedroom. So you cannot use our loft with a Queen size bed and full bathroom as a bedroom, legally.
