No smoking inside the home. Families welcome, however the home is not baby/toddler-safe. Spend your days at beautiful Lake Michigan or exploring the charming town of South Haven and your evenings relaxing in the hot tub or cuddled up by the cozy fireplace (available November 1st-March 31st). This three bedroom, three bathroom home offers plenty of room for up to ten guests. The mainfloor bedroom has a king bed. In the loft bedroom is full and a queen. The downstairs bedroom has full bed. The family/game room features comfy seating with satellite TV, a blu-ray player and a Wii. You can play an exciting game of foosball, air hockey, or choose from the 3400+ games on the vintage arcade gaming system! There are also lots of games available for all ages. Outside you can relax on the large deck, hang out around the fire pit or play a game of cornhole and disc golf. Firewood and roasting sticks provided. This amazing home sits on a quiet dirt road and is on four beautiful, park-like acres. Cell service can also be spotty. The garage is not available for guest use and there are two locked owners closets in the home. Please be aware that this home is located in the country and you will encounter bugs and wildlife. We do provide mosquito spray. Located on four quiet park-like acres. Lake Michigan and South Haven are about 7 miles from the home. Lake Arvesta Farms and Sports Complex is 3.3 miles away. Black River Barn is 5.3 miles. Black Sheep Shelter is 7.3 miles. South Haven Creations is 8.3 miles. 12 Corners Vineyards and Gravity tasting rooms are on Pheonix St and are 6.6 miles. It is well appointed and has five large bedrooms & three full bathrooms, within its modern design. It also offers an open-concept kitchen, dining and living room on the main level. This space provides a perfect gathering area to accommodate large groups and is complemented nicely by the homes second living room area in the lower level and its newly, thoughtfully furnished, roomy bedrooms and bathrooms throughout the house. brbrOur attached garage is also finished and offers another large, open area to hang out, play ping pong and other assorted fun and games. The garage connects directly to our patio, which has a gas grill and a Solo Stove Bonfire wood burning fire pit, along with multiple high quality Adirondack chairs. We are situated on a corner lot with no neighbors to the east or south, which provides a high level of privacy on that side of the house coupled with a spacious grassy area for the kids to enjoy, and adults as well. Another outdoor amenity is our outdoor shower complete with both hot and cold water. brYour vacation includes access to our private, heated swimming pool and clubhouse, which are less than half a block walk from our house and are only available for use by our 20-home community of home owners and our vacation rental guests. It was recently renovated by a couple from Poland who spent 6 years doing all of the intricate woodwork and renovations for the property. It has all modern amenities including air conditioning, WiFi, cable television, a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. The cabin provides an incredible getaway for couples, small group, or families!brbrbrINTERACTION WITH GUESTS:brbrWe have a local property manager in place who meets guests in person and is available to address any and all questions and/or issues.brbrbrNEIGHBORHOOD:brbrThe surrounding neighborhood is an eclectic mix of a several different houses of various styles and sizes. (The neighborhood is not an organized subdivision.) The neighbors are very friendly. Some of the neighbors do have dogs (mainly to alert about the local wildlife) and the dogs may be outside (tied up or gated) and may bark at you (from a distance) during your stay.brbrThe cabin is located in a beautiful woodsy and forested area only about 3 miles north of downtown South Haven. South Haven is perhaps the quintessential beach town in Michigan. It is located on Lake Michigan where the Black River flows into Lake Michigan. There are a vast array of shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars in the town as well as very nice beaches on Lake Michigan on both sides of the Black River (the South Beach and the North Beach). There is a lovely pier that leads out to the famous South Haven LIghthouse. The pier and beach make for a great sunset walks as the sun is setting on Lake Michigan!brbrIf a more natural environment is desired, the Casco Township Natural Preserve is just 1.8 miles north of the cabin on Lake Michigan. It provides nice walking trails that have gorgeous overlooks of Lake Michigan.brbrIMPORTANT NOTE: The property is quite close to Lake Michigan, but it is separated from Lake Michigan by several extremely expensive lakefront houses. There is no public path between these houses to get to Lake Michigan. Please do not trespass on any of the neighbor's properties to access the lake. North Beach in South Haven is only 4.2 miles from the property. Please drive to North Beach or any of the other public beaches in the area to access Lake Michigan and its beaches.brbrbrGUEST ACCESS:brbrGuests have access to the entire house and property.brbrbrTHE SPACE:brbrThe cabin has a wonderful international flair to it! The house was remodeled by a couple from Poland who spent 6 years working on the renovations and all of the detailed woodwork that is throughout the house. There is a lovely woods and nature theme that flows throughout the entire cabin. This includes a lot of beautiful hand-crafted woodwork. The name of the cabin, La Maison Malabar, is French for The Malabar House and the cabin is named after the Malabar Coast of India, where the current owners of the cabin are originally from.brbrbrTRANSIT:brbrIt is highly recommended that guests have their own means of transportation.brbrbrPLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:brbr1) LAYOUT: The cabin has two beautiful bathrooms, but each one is an en suite bathroom (i.e. private bathroom attached to a bedroom).
