SoHappy Haven - 6 bdrm, Game Room, Year Round Pools, Hot Tub, Marina & Clubhouse

A beautiful house that met all our needs well, I recommend this property for any group planning a stay in South Haven. The host’s responses to my questions were prompt, beds were comfortable and a few extra touches were appreciated. Know that there is access to a hot tub and pool but it is for the small community where the house is located. (I may have missed this detail when I read the description.)

We had a wonderful time with our family celebrating the Christmas/New Year's holiday together. We had a group of 15, ages ranging from 6 to 64. The home was spacious and clean. Beds we very comfortable. The host was very responsive to any questions I had. We were located a close distance (about 2 miles) from downtown South Haven where we explored a few of the shops. Everybody had a wonderful time.

From arriving to leaving.. every moment was Priceless. My host was helpful, attentive, and available. I plan to return very soon

We had a wonderful holiday stay here. It’s the halfway point between Ann Arbor and Chicago so it was a perfect location for all of my kids. The girls loved the year round pool and hot tub. The game room was a hit also. Very clean, lots of room for everyone. My only complaint is the lack of garbage bags. We only had two and had to resort to Meijer plastic bags which didn’t work very well.

Overall, our stay was wonderful. We had 14 adults including one teenager and one dog. Everyone had comfortable areas with ample space for sleeping, eating, and relaxing, playing games, etc. We were all pleased with the location so close to Lake Michigan. We were able to walk there and enjoy the beach.Our only issues were with a few things that did not work properly. Number one was the grill. We were grilling hotdogs and about halfway through the entire grill went up in flames. Had to quickly remove the hot dogs and it took about a half an hour for the flames to go down after turning it off.The toaster needs to be replaced.The oven had some residue lleft in it that caused it to smoke when we went to use it.For some reason, the fans in the bathrooms will not turn off.The code for the front door did not work when we arrived, but we were able to reach the host within about five minutes and then were able to get in. Again, our stay was lovely overall and we would consider renting again.

Colleen (the owner) was awesome and responsive! We had an amazing 3 days over Thanksgiving weekend! There were enough dishes, and the kitchen had what we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the house accommodated all 14 of us without issue. I would recommend this home to anyone. It was beautiful and was even better than the pictures. Thanks for a fun time with family making memories!

Very comfortable stay, kitchen well stocked, linens plenty full, love the open concept kitchen-counter/ family room and large dining room table!

The house was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and super spacious! It had everything you could possibly think of and more when it came to amenities. Super close to trails, beach, and South Haven, and just a short drive to other great towns too. Communication with our host was swift and reliable if we had any questions. The indoor pool in the neighborhood was such a highlight for my kids, given that we went in early fall, so Lake Michigan was a bit too cold for swimming. Absolutely can’t say enough great things about our stay! Would highly recommend!

Great property. Close to beaches and had amenities for us to use. Great layout for big family dinners and gathering. WiFi was spotty but I’m sure not any faultof host. Tastefully decorated-my taste!

We had 11 adults and one child stay for the weekend. The home had plenty of room for all of us. It was very clean. There were plenty of place settings for all of us and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was right down the street even though we didn’t use it. Not really close enough to walk to downtown South Haven but it’s a very short car ride.

Our family enjoyed staying at the SoHappy Haven house. The house was clean and provided us with comfortable sleeping quarters and living areas for the family to gather.Location is close to beaches and downtown is a short drive away. We also enjoyed the pool and the nearby trail for walking and biking. We had excellent communications with the owner of the house. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

Beautiful house very close to Lake Michigan Beach. Stayed with my sisters, nieces, and mom for a lovely girls weekend. House was large with plenty of bathrooms and seating. Pool and hot tub was a bonus! were

The house was beautiful and just like listed, perfect for our large group. Beds and couches were very comfortable! Plenty of towels. Pool and hot tub were a big hit, and we loved the games. We also used the solo fire pit. Great saty!

Plenty of space to spread out. Very functional kitchen. Loved all the bedrooms. Very comfy beds! Loved the proximity to indoor pool.

Ten adults came in from Michigan, Utah, & Canada to gather, talk, & brainstorm. The open floor plan, multiple bedrooms, & multiple bathrooms was perfect for our meeting needs.

A wonderful mid-winter getaway location. 12 ladies enjoyed the spacious kitchen/dining/living area and multiple roomy bathrooms. The view from the living room was lovely but window coverings are needed to block the morning light if anyone is sleeping there. When we arrived there was wet laundry in the washer and dirty sheets laying on 1 bed but when we contacted owner, that was remedied. Listing says “2 double sofa beds” in Living Room 1 and “1 Double Sofa Bed” in Living Room 2. There are NO sofa beds. There ARE sofas you could sleep on but they do not fold out into beds. The basement was cold with no means of heating it. Short walk to the pool (a bit chilly in there) and a relatively short walk to the Lake. Nice walking trails. Rental level cleanliness but would benefit from a deep level of cleaning.

We are a small performance art organization based in Chicago, and rented this gorgeous home for our annual winter retreat. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The space was cozy, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully arranged. The accommodations were top-notch, with comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, and a fully-stocked kitchen, which made our stay that much more enjoyable. We really appreciated the clear directions, with helpful details both on the front-end and in the on-site directions booklet. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-located retreat, or family vacation! This is our favorite space out of our many retreats over the years and we'd love to return next year.

My siblings and their spouses gathered to celebrate a 70th birthday. House worked out very well. We were prepared to use the pool and hot tub but due to the icy conditions we were unable to, but they looked great! We had a great time… thank you!

My family and I had an amazing time here ringing in the new year. The property was very spacious for a large group and very clean. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool as well as the ping pong table. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing space! The open concept living and kitchen were wonderful for our group of 12! The kitchen was stocked well. It had everything we needed to make our Thanksgiving meal. The rooms were extremely spacious (including the bathrooms and closet galore!). It couldn't have been more perfect. The year round pool and hot tub was a huge hit! The ping pong table and shuffle board was so fun! Would love to come again when it's warm!

The house was larger in person. Very clean and host was very responsive. The house was walking distance from the house and the kids loved the indoor pool. The house also had a fire pit that we used every night. Definitely would come back if we ever visit South Haven

We had a wonderful time staying at this home for our fall break! House was exactly as listed and the layout and accommodations gave everyone plenty of room. The pool and hot tub and local fishing was a huge hit with the kids and everyone can’t wait to come back and stay there again! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home!
