The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are tucked away in the upper level, accessible by 8 steps, ensuring privacy. Sleeps up to 8 guests. Primary bedroom has its own small deck and an attached bathroom.brThe primary bedroom has a king-size bed, one bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the last bedroom has a twin-size bunk bed (110-lb weight limit for the top bunk). The living room has a queen sofa bed. The living room has a large smart TV. brbrThe house is kid-friendly, and we have provided puzzles and board games for your enjoyment! Parents: please supervise your kids around the wood stove (winter use only) and the stairs. brbrThere is a lot to do nearby! We are a 20-minute drive from downtown Sonora, 25 minutes from Black Oak Casino, 20 minutes from Pinecrest Lake & Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, and 90 minutes from Yosemite National Park. Numerous trails nearby.brbrVery quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by towering pines. Somewhat steep driveway. 4 Wheel drive is highly recommended for all seasons, and is a must in winter.brbrGuests have access to the entire cabin except for a few spaces that are separate from the main areas, which are locked for private use. brbrIf you need to do laundry, guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer. Please follow the instructions. Our property is not fenced on the back side, so please respect our neighbors' yards.brbrNOTE FOR SUMMER GUESTS brTwain Harte Lake is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. Advance registration is required for access to Twain Harte Lake, and they collect a fee ($10 in 2025) per guest. You will receive a form in advance of your stay to register for the days you plan to use the lake and the names of the guests who will be in attendance. All guests must be registered ahead of time, and payment can be made at the lake gatehouse upon entering the Lake property. Lake rules must be strictly followed when using the lake, as misuse could result in the owner losing their lake membership. Please see THLake.org for more details. Violation of this provision shall be grounds for expedited eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid and appropriate additional penalties.brbrNOTE FOR WINTER GUESTSbr- All Wheel Drive is a must. Check the Caltrans website for chain-use advisories and road conditions.br- Use Woodwardia Road to access the property. Other roads may not be plowed.brThe driveway will be plowed when guests check in. We hope you enjoy your stay in our mountain home.brbrYour stay will be in our rustic, relaxing cabin with an unconventional layout. Dandelion’s Lair features 3 Bedrooms & 2.5 bathrooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with plates, silverware, pots, pans and everything you need to make a homemade meal. The Dining table seats 6 with a view of the front deck. The Living Room features a comfy reading chair and two large couches for maximum seating. A game table provides an area for family fun - along with a bookshelf of games. (During Christmas, we decorate with a tree, wreath and stockings.)brbrWe regularly use our vacation home and love sharing it with others when we are not using it. We hope you love it as much as we do. brbrSOME IMPORTANT ITEMS AND INSTRUCTIONS:brbrRULES & REGULATIONS: See Attached DocumentbrTV/DVD: There is a DVD player - feel free to bring your own DVD's to enjoy a night in! There is WI-FI, basic cable and a Smart TV to login to your favorite streaming accounts.brFIREPLACE/WOOD BURNING STOVE: Please buy your own wood to burn, we do not provide it. Please be careful with fire.brFURNACE: Heat is provided by a forced air gas furnace powered by propane.brCAMPFIRES: We do NOT allow any Campfires on the property, EVER, due to wildland fire danger.brAIR CONDITIONING UNIT: It’s located in the front by the driveway. Please make sure the cover is removed before turning it on inside the house.brHOT WATER HEATER: Located in the kitchen. Please keep it in between “A” and “B” if you have young children, up to “C” if it’s only adults, while you are there. When you leave, turn the dial to the lower setting.brCIRCUIT BREAKERS: Located outside on the south-east side. If outlets stop working, check the breaker box after removing and turning off the offending appliance. Flip the tripped breaker and “clear” it by switching it all the way off to all the way on. There are power failures, in a forest, when a tree falls, it not only makes a sound, it takes out power lines. In a big winter storm, this can happen multiple times on the same line.brWATER: It’s on for you!brBBQ: There is a propane BBQ grill for your use on the deck off the dining room. Check the propane tank; turn on the tank, and then light. Please clean and cover the BBQ after it cools down. There is also a charcoal grill as well, you must provide your own briquettes. Please do not light the deck on fire.brSHEETS AND TOWELS: are provided, but you may also bring your own. As mentioned, there is 1 queen sized bed, 2 full sized beds, 2 twin beds. Please wash and dry one load of used sheets or towels before you leave. All other used linens may be placed on the floor in front of the washer. You may leave a load drying in the dyer if you do not have enough time to finish. (Unless very soiled, comforters and blankets do not need to be placed in front of the washer - we wash these regularly offsite, as our machine cannot handle the large load.)brNEIGHBORS: they are all friendly, nice people. Please say 'Hello' and be considerate.brTHE DRIVEWAY is narrow, needing ALL WHEEL DRIVE to make it up in WINTER. In winter, it's an icy slide of doom for any 2 wheel drive vehicle. We are not responsible for any injuries or damage you do with a 2 wheel drive car. ALL WHEEL DRIVE OR 4 Wheel Drive is recommended and required in WINTER. AWD not required in other seasons. We are at 3700 foot elevation, which is roughly the snow line for colder winter storms.brGARBAGE: we have garbage and recycling pickups on Mondays.brbr3 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin with Twain Harte Lake Membership Privileges!brClassic Twain Harte Cabin. Lots of Knotty Pine in this rustic home. 2 blocks from down town Twain Harte so it is just a short walk. ACTIVE LAKE MEMBERSHIP so bring the family and friends and enjoy Twain Harte Lake especially during the summer. Lots of room inside the bedrooms of this 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath cabin. One of the bathrooms has a skylight in the shower! Yard is fenced for the small ones, either kids or dogs. Parking for 2-3 cars. Open kitchen and dining. 40 minute drive to Dodge Ridge and Lake Pinecrest or up the hill to Kennedy Meadows for hiking and fishing. Two hours to Yosemite for a day trip for 20 minutes to Sonora for movies and fun shopping.brCome visit Dandelion's Lair, a cabin all on one level, steps in between living room and kitchen and primary suite, with pine and oak trees filtering the light! We are not able to issue refunds, discounts for these interruptions along with for late cancellations/early check-out as these incidents are beyond our control.brbr* We do not offer discounts or refunds for early departures after check-inbrbrPlease don`t turn the heat all the way up and open up all of the doors and windows. If you leave for the day, please don`t leave the heat running - we have central heating that will easily heat up the cabin within 20 minutes when you get back to the cabin - the cost of your stay doesn`t include a massive PG&E bill as a result of your stay.brbrHot Tub:brbrWill be ready for you and all you`ll need to do is adjust the temperature up and down with the arrows, turn the light or pumps off or on. When not in use please lower temperature to 95 degrees and keep covered. For 1 week stays, please request spa services as needed.brbrGrill:brbrThe grill is a standard grill that uses propane - if you run out of propane, 7-11 is a 5 minute drive and can be quickly swapped out for a full tank. Note: We have no issues with wild animals.brbr* Wood fireplace is great for heatbr* Wall heaters do not workbr* Always keep doors shut to the outside for efficiencybr* TV’s are smart TV’s - streaming cablebr* Puzzles and games in the bedroom closetbr* Extra towels and linens are in the linen closet in back hallway by upstairs bathroombrbr* Our street is narrow so parking is limited to (3) total cars. Our peaceful and relaxing mountain getaway has a wrap around deck and fire pit (during non fire season) for entertaining and just to relax and unwind a mist a backdrop of trees. Along with a gas BBQ we do provide the propane tanks but do not maintain them you may bring your own or exchange them ( for a fee) in town for a full one. We also provide wifi streaming for indoor entertainment as well as lots of DVD's. In the bonus room we have a Wii for the kids and a playstation 2 plus an indoor basketball game. brWe do have a lot of stairs throughout the cabin being its a tri level and unfortunately we do not have any handicap access available.brParking- We have 2/3 depending on vehicle size on street parking places as well as another driveway to park ( but its steep and we don't advise you park down there unless you have all wheel drive) and not at all during the wintertime. br~Year round enjoyment~brTwain Harte has a 9 hole golf course and a 18 hole mini golf course. The Lake also has an amphitheater where they have family movie nights in the summer.brCover's Apple Ranch is a fun outing for the whole family plus they have yummy apple treats and more.brbr ~~~~Winter~~~~brMake sure you travel with chains or have 4 wheel drive the roads are plowed but chains may still be required. Please be aware of road conditions prior to your arrival. In the summer, guests can enjoy Sugar Pine Lake, a private haven merely a three-minute stroll from the cabin, featuring a child-friendly beach, diving platforms, and fishing spots, all within a secured and gated area accessible with a key.brbrGreat attention has been paid to crafting a welcoming escape that caters to both adults and children. The expansive dining area serves as a hub for board games, crafts, or other diversions beyond meal times.
