Nestled down a little country dirt lane, our cottage named after William Wordsworth's own Dove Cottage, is a calming sanctuary in the middle of the Wine Country, close to Sonoma Plaza. It is a completely private residence with it's own solar-heated pool, large private deck for entertaining, dining, and relaxing. It has a lush, wrap-around garden, and a modern, clean, minimal interior space. It is perfectly located close to Sonoma Square for the best in fine dining and access to some of the best wineries in the world. brbrOur cottage is perfect for a couple's romantic weekend away, or a fun weekend for a small family with kids enjoying the pool (with automatic cover- so very safe) and Traintown just around the corner. *We do not typically heat the pool November- February due to the cold temperatures, it is almost impossible to get the pool warm enough to enjoy.brbrBesides being a beautiful little getaway, we have also put thought into the details: Dove Cottage has air-conditioning/heating and features a beautiful custom luxury kitchen. It has two Sony HD TV's with complimentary Netflix and Cable, Full Lightening speed Wi-fi, and unique European design details such as a sliding custom barn-door and two Dutch-style doors. And the back master suite has french doors that lead out to your private deck to enjoy the evening sunsets or the fresh morning air. brbrOur cottage is close enough to the Square for easy access and proximity yet has a wonderful rural setting that allows you to simultaneously feel away from it all. What We Love About This HomebrBuilt by August and Sylvia Sebastiani in 1947, the property is a leisurely stroll up from the acclaimed winery.brbrExterior DetailsbrThe gracious hand-hewn stone home was fashioned after a Tuscan villa with its arched entries, deep porches and expansive terraces. brbrThe sun-filled terraces and decks that encircle Casa Sebastiani offer views on all sides and the dappled shade of the ancient live oaks beckon for a meditative stop under their tall branches. brbrThis is a place that has been connected to a significant part of Sonoma Valley’s history ever since 1904 when Samuele Sebastiani acquired the vineyards of the Franciscan fathers who originally planted them in 1825. From those humble beginnings the winery he founded grew into a name known around the world. brbrInterior DetailsbrA circular walkway leads up to the deep, tiled porch with its stone arches and carved wooden door. Inside a wide entry opens to the expansive living room. The room features a grand piano and gleaming white marble fireplace; floor to ceiling picture windows frame beautiful scenes of the flowering landscape, bringing in the natural, golden light that warms the vineyards.brbrThe home has recently been redecorated and upgraded throughout, retaining the authentic Italian touches that express its origins. The queen bedroom off the living area offers a relaxing glimpse of the tranquil scenery. You agree to report any damages or loss of property to owner/owner`s representative.brbrUnavailability of PropertybrIn the event the property is not available for use during the rental term due to reasons, events or circumstances beyond the control of owner/owners representative, the owner/owner representative will apply due diligence and good faith efforts to locate a replacement property that equals or exceeds the property with respect to occupancy capacity, location and value that meets the reasonable satisfaction of the guest. If such replacement property cannot be found and made available, owner/owners representative shall immediately issue a refund. The refund will be prorated based upon the number of nights the property was not occupied by guests.
