We can accept up to two dogs or cats for a nominal $20 fee per stay. All pets must be house-trained. We ask that they not lounge on furniture without the protection of a towel or blanket. With regular sightings of bears on our property, it is recommended to keep animals on a leash, especially at night, to ensure you can move away from a bear and back into the house safely.brbrFIREPLACES & FIRESbrOutdoor: We have an outdoor fire pit and provide firewood. We allow open fires but ask that you use the hose to put the fire all the way out. Thoroughly douse the fire with large amounts of water and ensure it is no longer smoldering. We will provide some firewood next to the stove, and additional firewood is located on the front deck under the black tarp. Feel free to grab what you need during your stay. Make sure to leave the door closed while the fireplace is in use to prevent embers coming out onto the carpet. A small fire will go a long way to heat the house. Remember, heat rises so the upstairs gets really hot really fast. We do provide heaters upstairs when needed, but with the design of the house and the fact that heat rises you rarely need it. There are windows upstairs to release hot air if needed.brbrBBQ: We have a large BBQ for your use and we hope you can make some delicious meals during your stay. We ask that you turn off the grill and then turn the propane gas tank all the way off.
