Stayed Jul 4, 2024It is a very nice and clean 4 BRs house for group of friends (4 couples). The kitchen is well equipped for us to prepare our own dinners and breakfast. It is very convenient to take daily trips to Lassen NP. The host is very responsive with great communication. After three nights of stay, we accidentally left one backpack with laptop in the house. After we contacted host, Roger volunteered to meet us somewhere at highway 5 to hand us the backpack; that saved us 90 minutes of driving. We really appreciate it. We definitely will come back in the future.

Stayed Oct 13, 2025Wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. Arrived to the smell of bread baking which was a pleasant surprise (thank you). We enjoyed the burning of the supplied wood in the fireplace. Sitting around the huge deck listening to the creek was really relaxing. The cabin is in a perfect location for those looking for that get away in a beautiful forest. We did find the very small town of Shingletown, about a 10 minute drive, had what we needed for any other supplies. The Reed Market had a variety of everything. Thank you for your hospitality!

Stayed Sep 15, 2025We had a small problem with the E.V. charger when we first arrived. The hosts dealt with the problem promptly, and the issue was resolved. Great communication! We would gladly stay here again, and bring our family, too!

Stayed Aug 21, 2025This cabin is an absolutely perfect place to stay when visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park as the Manzanita Lake section of the park is only ten minutes away. The location feels secluded and private. There isn’t much in the area for restaurants or shops but that is what we expected. The home itself was immaculately clean and had every amenity needed. The hosts even had fresh baked bread, wine in the cooler, and safari hats for my three girls for adventures in the park. We felt so very welcomed and like we were staying in a good friends house. The creek is lovely and is a nice spot to relax along with the large deck. I couldn’t recommend this cabin enough!

Stayed Aug 19, 2024This property is amazing! Location is only 15 minutes from LVNP entrance. Set in a private neighborhood with great outdoor space. Home is very well decorated and equipped with everything needed to be comfortable. Great for us 4 single adults and would be comfortable for a couple more or couples or a couple of families. Plenty of space for privacy and gathering together. Very clean and hosts were wonderful to communicate and make us feel welcome (esp. with fresh baked bread). Be sure and get groceries before getting to Viola -- either Burney to the North or the ones host mentions. There is Dollar General at Shingletown. Pioneer Hillside Pizza (and more) is excellent for a night out :-). Enjoyed Happy Hour and cornhole on the big porch. Can you tell we had a good time -- and only a short drive to an awesome park. Thank you, Jenn and Roger!

Stayed Jun 29, 2024Our three-generation family group of 8 people found all the space we needed at this lovely hideaway in the woods. We especially enjoyed the beautiful new deck and the constant sound of the babbling creek nearby. We appreciated being able to use the walkie-talkies to communicate between cars as we visited nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park. And it was so nice to be greeted with the smell of fresh baked bread upon our arrival! Thanks so much for sharing your home. It isn't always easy for a group as large as ours to find such a wonderful place to stay.
