The pictures don't do justice to this property. The red carpet makes the pictures look dated, but the property is immaculate. The house is as equipped as they come and they are generous enough to provide firewood, charcoal, starters... And you can see that the property is made and maintained with lot of history and love. Its a gem

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful spot! Everything we needed was provided and in good condition. Our only complaint is that we had questions prior to our stay and the responses were very delayed when they occurred at all.Awesome place, though!

The inside of this house is dated. Also, though 50-65 outside, we also had difficulty getting the room temperature to a reasonable level for the first 12-24 hours using the heater alone (though we didn't use the fireplaces). It was clean and well-equipped.

A lovely pet friendly stay very close to Lassen NP. This was the most well stick kitchen I have seen recently in a rental. It was dark and quiet at night. We loved it!!

Cute rustic cabin. Retro original 60s-70s style but everything is in great condition. Has everything you could need for a great getaway. Only saw one restaurant (pizza) in Shingletown and not much else around so we meal planned and bought groceries at local grocery store for all meals. Stream in back is amazing to sit and relax as is upstairs balcony. WiFi worked great. Sun room. Outdoor patio with fire pit looked inviting but we didn’t use it.

This cabin is so charming. So many cozy spaces. Warm afternoons spent down by the creek and up at the lake were the highlight of our trip.

This was supposed to be a stay for 8 people. I was hoping there would be beds for 8, but there was accommodation for 6 only. The stay does not say that 2 people would have to sleep on the floor. Even the floor mattress were terrible. We could barely sleep. I would have rather stayed in a hotel at this cost. This spoiled our trip. Secondly the internet was very bad. I had some really important work to be completed, but It did not work. It barely worked for an hour and then stopped working again. There is barely any cell reception and connecting with the owners was very tough. Even the landline was down. I wish the owners had shared these details. The sink in the first floor bathroom kept getting clogged. The cooling did not work and the rooms upstairs got very hot. There were big black ants in the kitchen slab where we were cooking and had to keep all our food covered. I was expecting better services for the price that we paid for a 2 night stay. I would not recommend staying here again.

My family and I loved the rustic feel of the home. There was a lot of space and the inside was clean. We had all we needed to cook homemade dinners and breakfasts and pack lunches for exploring. We had easy access to Lassen Volcanic National Park, about 15 minutes to the northwest entrance. The neighbors we met were all kind. On checkout day, we ended up with a flat tire and the property managers were communicative and understanding. (Closest tire shop was over 40 min away!)

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is beautiful and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable family stay. Kids really enjoyed the open space, the walk to the creek and also the fire pit to make smores. We would love to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay in the house which is in a very quiet place. House is comfortable, very well equipped and the master bedroom is awesome with large windows, you have the feeling to be in the trees. Outdoor is very nice too to appreciate the evenings. It’s only 20’ from Lassen Volcanic NP which is a great place to visit for several days: hiking Lassen peak with a top view, swimming in summit lake, visiting the small but well done museum, take good time at manzanita lake, etc… we stayed only 2 days and more would be welcome. Definitely a great experience to stay here.

This is a lovely home that can accommodate multiple guests. Plenty of room to spread out. Has every amenity. Well-stocked kitchen. There was difficulty reaching the owner to check in. We never received an access code until 45 minutes prior to check in time. It is in a remote area with limited services nearby, which made the situation even more difficult and stressful.

This home is less than 20 minutes from Lassen Volcanic National Park. Home was comfortable, clean and well equipped for our family of 6. We enjoyed dinner on the patio every night. This cabin has a rustic mountain and cool 80's vibe including the orange carpet. we loved coming home after great exploring at Lassen. Nice quiet location and a peaceful stay.

The house was nice and big and only 10-15 minutes from Lassen Volcanic NP. The property is cool with a river running in the back, and it’s very peaceful! Only thing I would ask for is updated pots and pans because they were all non-stick that wasn’t nonstick anymore so cooking was kind of a pain! But other than that, no complaints with this property!

My husband, daughter, two dogs, and I had a wonderful visit. In all reality it was far too short, but we made the most of our time soaking up Burney Falls, Mt. Lassen, and the excellent cabin. While we enjoyed some meals in the well-equipped kitchen, we also traveled into Shingletown to Pioneer pizza and enjoy every slice of their food as well. Everything you could possibly need is located within the walls of the beautiful cabin and just outside lies an oasis. Not only can you hear Battle Creek running, but you can see it and walk down to it. These hosts are truly top notch and care about their guests. We will certainly be back!
