Cozy 2 Bedroom Cabin In Pine Mountain Club With Breathtaking View!

Pine Mountain Club, California, United States

Ascend the stairs and enter through the Lodge's front door and you will encounter the expansive living area and be immediately greeted by a breathtaking mountain view. It consists of a fully appointed kitchen, a 6 seat dining table under a mid century chandelier, and a cozy living room centered on a stone fireplace. The space is designed to guide your eye towards the wide open views provided by the 20 foot wall of windows.brbrThe living room features a cozy wood burning fireplace and a Roku TV with a Sonos soundbar, allowing you to watch your favorite streaming shows (using your own logins) or listen to your music via the Sonos soundbar. There are also some board games and card games for you to enjoy, or just sit out on the deck and enjoy the view. The sky at night is absolutely magnificent. There are light pollution rules in the community so it's very dark and sky is absolutely gorgeous.brbrThe kitchen is filled with everything you need to make an amazing meal. The owners love to cook and wanted to make sure they could host dinners on top of the mountain. They also love coffee and wanted to make sure you could grind fresh roasted beans for a perfect cup of drip coffee.brbrThe larger bedroom is furnished with a twin bunk over a queen bed. It’s perfect for kids or that extra friend that decided to come last minute. The smaller bedroom is furnished with a vintage midcentury queen bed. Both bedrooms have wide windows covered with blackout shades to keep out the bright mountain sun and let you sleep just a little while longer. Each bedroom has chargers on each side of the bed that accommodate your phone, your Apple Watch, and your AirPods and there are also USB outlets provided in the power strips on each side of the bed.brbrThe bathroom separates the two bedrooms and is stocked with everything you need, even a hair dryer. The walk in shower has a rain head with a shower wand. It even has a heat lamp for those chilly mornings when you step out of the shower onto the lush bathmats. brbrStep outside the sliding glass doors and onto the generous wrap around porch to enjoy the unforgettable views. The porch has cozy seating area, perfect to enjoy the starry night sky. There is also small cafe seating area for you to enjoy your morning coffee.brbrWhat to do, what to do Mostly we come to the Midnight Ride Lodge to relax and do NOTHING. But we do love the activities the area has to offer. What you can do depends on the time of year, but during the summer, you can chill at the pool, play golf or tennis, go horseback riding, fishing on Fern's Lake, see wildlife at Bitter Creek Wildlife Refuge, and hit any of the many hiking trails (we recommend visiting the alltrails website for the best most up to date information on options). Pine Mountain Village is about an 8 minute drive and is cute to walk around, featuring cute shops. dining and the Pine Mountain General Store.brbr****SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING****brbrWe're very proud of the cozy little space we've created and we hope you'll love it too. We are new to vacation rentals and value your input and feedback on our home! If you have any issues or problems during your visit (and we certainly hope you won't!), please give us an opportunity to remedy the issue rather than leaving poor feedback.brbrIMPORTANT: Everyone should keep a set of snow chains with them, even if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. CHP does require that vehicles carry chains or traction control devices in order to access the mountain community roads when there is snow and ice on the ground. Cal-Trans has signs posted to notify drivers and enforce safety. It is the driver's responsibility to insure the proper installation and maintenance of tire chains or traction control devices when necessary to prevent loss of traction. Loss of traction is defined as the inability of a vehicle to stop, turn, and proceed forward or backward in a sustained, controlled manner without skidding, sliding or becoming stuck.brbr--DISCLOSURE--brLiving in a mountain cabin is a truly unique experience, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled deep within the serene beauty of a National Forest, this is the place to unwind, recharge, and take in stunning, uninterrupted views. But it’s important to know that mountain life brings its own set of realities. brbrWith the peace and tranquility come occasional challenges like weather delays, road closures, power or internet outages, and encounters with local wildlife, including insects and spiders. Strong winds, chilly temperatures, and sometimes patchy cell service (with Verizon being the most reliable) are part of the mountain charm. Unlike urban areas, there’s no Uber, and the local shops and restaurants typically close by 8 pm, so planning ahead is key. brbrLife up here may require a bit more patience and flexibility, but that’s all part of the appeal. The simple joys of cabin living, surrounded by nature’s beauty, more than make up for any minor inconveniences. We invite you to come with an open mind and an adventurous spirit—you'll find it's worth every bit of effort.brbr--CELL SERVICE--brCell service can become very spotty or non-existent in the area around our home. We HIGHLY recommend you to download the map for the area to your phone before arrival so you don't have to depend on cell service. Once in our cabin though, we have lightning fast satellite internet for your use.brbr--HOUSE RULES--brAlthough the home itself is single level, there are 17 stairs you must climb to get from the driveway to the front door (see photos). Please understand this before renting.brbr1. No smoking or vaping inside the home. Please use EXTRA CARE ouside, as fires are easily started.brbr2. Do not leave ANY food or food related items (including wrappers/empty containers) or anything with an attractive scent like toothpaste, sunscreen, etc) outside, including inside your car. Because, BEARS.brbr3. No unregistered guests allowedbrbr4. No pets allowed unless previously agreed uponbrbr5. No parties of any kindbrbr6. QUIET TIME (per HOA): No loud music outside at any time and quiet hours from 10pm to 8am.brbrDo not smoke on the property. Smoking indoors or near open doors and windows will result in a partial or full forfeit of your security deposit. This is also a FIRE HAZARD and cannot be tolerated.brbr--PETS--brWe are animal friendly people and we love your pets, but due to the amount of damage caused by pets, we do not allow them at The Midnight Ride Lodge. Bringing pets with you can result in forfeiture of a portion of your security deposit. brbr--POTENTIAL HAZARDS--brAll renters are advised that the cabin was built in 1972 and not constructed to current building and safety codes. Furthermore, the property has not been “childproofed” (such as locked cabinets, plugged electrical outlets, etc.) Accordingly, the physical condition of the property may pose a risk of serious injury or death to unsupervised children, toddlers, service animals or pets (as stated, pets are NOT permitted on the premises).brbrBy booking this rental property, you expressly acknowledge this warning and agree to assume all risk for your use and occupancy of the property, including on behalf of your children, guests and invitees. All potential guests should carefully review the photographs of the property and consider whether the property is appropriate and safe for their intended use, person and family/group members.brbr--GUEST ACCESS--brGuest passes to the Clubhouse will be provided. The Clubhouse in Pine Mountain Club has activities such as golf and the pool that are open during the summer. The clubhouse charges a $5 fee for a day pass with the guest card. More info is provided about the Clubhouse amenities once guests have booked.brbr--MISCELLANEOUS NOTES ABOUT PMC--brYou should plan on bringing any and all food items you'll want to have for your visit. This includes coffee, etc. We aren't able to leave ANY food in the house when it's vacant (other than spices) because, BEARS, so it will be bare when you arrive. We offer a French press for coffee as well as a Fellow drip coffee maker that brews pour-over quality coffee with the press of a button, as well as a coffee grinder with adjustable settings. We do NOT provide coffee beans though. Although there isn't a major supermarket nearby, should you find you forgot something you want/need, the well stocked Pine Mountain General Store located in Pine Mountain Village will probably have what you need. The Village also houses some cute places to eat and drink (The Perch, Bear Claw Bakery, Bigfoot Cafe, Pine Mountain Pizza Company, La Leña Mexican Restaurant, Hungry Al's BBQ, etc)brbrWE ARE SO EXCITED TO HAVE YOU!

Lodge

Breathtaking Open Plan with Game Room, Library, and Towering Views

Pine Mountain Club, California, United States

Take a look at the video in the photo carousel and you'll immediately know why this property is the most exclusive rental in Pine Mountain Club. Rarely available to outsiders, this top-quality luxury lodge has soaring ceilings to match the soaring panoramas, and showcases the very best Pine Mountain Club has to offer. In town yet overlooking an adjoining private forest, the lodge offers a unique combination of views, privacy, space, and convenience for the most discriminating renter.brbrThe property is close in yet secluded – backing to a preserved valley with elaborate walks, wildlife, and spring-fed waterways. Its one-of-a-kind promontory overlooks the pristine valley vista, from the intimate deer pond to the towering mountains. The house is a literal stone’s throw from town for shopping, restaurants, entertainment, groceries, golf, tennis, horseback, swimming, and clubhouse convenience (plus first priority snow removal), yet set apart on a paved and granite-bouldered circular drive with snow, large trees, and 360 degree views of Pine Mountain’s beautiful surroundings including both Mt. Pinos and Mt. Abel.brbrConsider the combination: snow and trees and views and privacy and town and valley – anywhere else you’d have to compromise on several (or even most) of those features – but in this singular location no compromise is required. Whether it’s to the gazebo for a Shakespearean play, to the Greens for a round of golf and free concert, or into the forest for a stroll along a mountain stream, everything is just footsteps from your door.brbrFor outdoor fun there are stone-lined paths to the valley for hiking/exploring/hours of play, an old fashioned tire swing under a giant oak, horseshoes, volleyball, and even a private in-ground pre-laid sled-run. brbrGreat for large groups, three of the five bedrooms in this magnificent approx. 3200 square foot home are master bedrooms with adjoining double-sink bathrooms (including separate toilet/tub area for added convenience and privacy), while two of the bedrooms are bunk rooms sleeping up to 6 guests in each. In total, there are 1 king, 2 queen, 2 double, and 10 twin beds (plus an additional futon).brbrThe downstairs foyer/library awaits your late-night reading, while upstairs guests enjoy windowed vistas all around in a gigantic open greatroom centered upon a towering stone fireplace. Whether you're spinning one of the 1,000 vintage vinyl records on the phonograph, watching a classic movie on the big screen TV, playing a boardgame at the pub-height game table, or enjoying a late night of conversation on the giant comfy sectional, this room is often the center of activity. It features an oversized dining area and an adjoining game room with ping pong, foosball, and air hockey tables. The chef is always a part of the action too, in an adjacent kitchen complete with dining island, stainless steel appliances including dual dishwashers, Frigidaire refrigerator, built-in microwave, trash compactor, and dual kitchen sinks with dual disposals. There are granite countertops and Thomasville knotty alder cabinets in every bath, as well as the kitchen and the understair laundry. Radiant in-floor heating maintains a quiet, even, and efficient warmth on cozy winter days, while the on-demand boiler supplies endless hot water any time of the year. The home is well insulated for sound and warmth alike (including all interior walls, floors, and ceilings), and is accented by solid knotty alder doors to every room, lodgepole pine both indoors and out, and natural slate floors in all baths, laundry, kitchen, entry, lobby library, stairs, and pathways. It features five (5) extra-thick exterior wood decks – including a recessed dining/view deck with its own magnificent outdoor fireplace to savor late summer evenings under the stars. Five (5) sets of French doors open onto the decks. The 2-car garage is extra tall, and even comes with a full-height indoor basketball hoop for rainy days!brbrPreviously owned by Hollywood actor Dom DeLuise, this property is a one-of-a-kind gem, whether you’re entertaining several families or enjoying an intimate weekend with your own.brbrNOTE: This home is only rented for 14 days (max) out of the entire year, so get your requests in early. It's a very rare treat. Also, we now include linens and towels at no extra charge.brbrNON SMOKING ONLY! brbrBE ADVISED: This is not a typical vacation rental -- it's a large personal/corporate retreat which is made available to outsiders for a few days each year. Bearing that in mind, there are some quirks that you may find unusual, especially if you are a frequent vacation renter. For example, in order to discourage the owner's kids from squandering precious vacation time on their infernal electronic devices, the owner purposely installed NO Wi-Fi or cable TV at the lodge -- much to his kids' (and perhaps your kids') chagrin. There's a large screen TV and DVD player for movies together and many video games to be enjoyed as a group, but the lodge is intentionally disconnected from the outside world (although Verizon still manages to get a cell signal thru, and there is free Wi-Fi coverage all over town, beginning at the General Store which is only steps away). Also, as a concession to the owner's wife for making the lodge available to rent, you must endure the owner's personal items in the garage, closets, and pantry. (You are welcome to anything in the pantry, but please accommodate the owner's privacy with respect to the other items.) Again, this is not a standard vacation rental, so if you're looking for a place that is often rented, or which you can abuse, look elsewhere. Your deposit will be forfeited if you damage the house or break the house rules.
