We love that!brbrSpring is spectacular in Pine Mountain Club!brbrAdditional Amenities: We own the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit, horseshoes included; a rock pond with a waterfall (filled in the spring); a picnic table; many rustic and well-used seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottages. brbrOur cabin has been used by more than one film crew (see Frazier Park Recut and The No Problem Zone with Eric Roberts!) and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music.brbrThe cabin has undergone a deep cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes TV with Roku; spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; Pergo flooring up and downstairs; a full-sized stove, oven, and new hood; programmable coffeemaker; vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new glasses, knives, and pot and pan set; small coffee grinder; brand new blender; brand new electric kettle; DVD player and some DVD's; log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the primary bedroom); IKEA twin bed and mattresses; some new pillows--both down and hypo-allergenic; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath; new paint throughout, new sheets, pillowcases, comforters, and towels. All carpets are brand new! But, most importantly: we have hooked up the new propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like! There are two large ceiling fans in the upstairs living area and plenty of ventilation. And, we now have air conditioning. brbrThis 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); two fold-out sleeping pads; a big couch; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout; and, filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. But, we also have Starlink installed.brbrBe sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles (barbless catch and release)! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property.brbrThe clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, a new outdoor pool (open from Memorial Day to October), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8800 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year. Guests will be allowed the use of complementary passes. They must be returned to the wood holder on the green desk in the downstairs hall. brbrGUESTS WILL BE CHARGED $100 (unfortunately, that is not a typo) FOR EACH MISSING POOL PASS (the white magnetic card). There is no exception. The HOA has changed its policy. Those are the fees that owners will be charged for each missing pool pass. So, please be extra careful about that so that you won’t be charged. The pool charges a $5.00 fee per day per user.brbrThe cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. There's no washer/dryer at the cabin so guests provide their own linens. Cleaning is easy - I provide a simple checklist and all cleaning supplies. My manager will check the cabin when you leave.brbrThe cabin is located on two lots on a cul-de-sac, total 2/3 acre, and backs up to a green belt, so it feels very private. All knotty pine interior with lodge-like furnishings. Across from the cabin is the entrance to the Snowflake Trails, a beautiful series of trails among the pine trees built by my neighbor for the benefit of the community. There are little tables and chairs made from tree stumps, painted rocks and gnomes left by locals, and hidden rooms crafted from the willow that grows there. You can walk through the trails to the village in 10 minutes, or explore other trails in all directions.

Designed for 1-2 people, the goal was to balance the charm and imperfection of a 50 year old cabin with updates where they matter most. If you’ve never experienced a ‘tiny house’ or small living space, I’m extra excited for you to stay!brbrOriginally built in 1973, this 600 sqft 'Sierra Chalet' is one of two pre-designed home packages that homeowners could customize and build when this community first began selling lots and homes back in 1971. The simple, box-car style design was configurable in different lengths with 1 or 2 bedrooms. It sits at an elevation of 6300ft at the end of a quiet culdesac with views of Sawmill Mountain.brbrThe exterior of the house is largely unchanged from 1973, with original redwood decking beautifully grayed, a bit squeaky, and still held down with nails. The glass entryway has been updated to create a modern look that brings together the exterior and interior space. On the deck there is a seating area, large dining table, stainless steel BBQ, and string lights to set the mood.brbrAs you move inside the house, you’ll enter into the main living space. There is a dining area with seating for 4 as well as a full-size modern kitchen, which features a stainless gas range with cast-iron griddle top, microwave, toaster, and coffee makers (drip, french press, espresso machine) There is plenty of space for food prep and it’s fully stocked with everything you need to do serious cooking or even some baking. More than just the basics!brbrThe living room area features custom hand made tables and a leather sofa, alongside an original eames-style chair and vintage malm wood-burning fireplace. I love listening to records and watching movies by the fire so I created that space. There is SmartTV and Apple TV for streaming, DVD/Bluray, and even a Nintendo64 for some old school gaming. It’s an absolutely magical stargazing experience that photos can’t really capture!brbrI love a luxurious shower, so the bathroom has been updated with a walk-in glass enclosure, complete with teak shelving and shower seat. The skylight gives it a relaxing outdoor feel and the rainshower head has great pressure and endless hot water.brbrThe bath pass-through features a custom vanity, mirror and storage cabinet with plenty of towels, wash cloths, extra linens, plus a hair dryer and everything else you might need.brbrThe bedroom is a cozy throwback space with exposed wood ceilings and a queen bed. The casper mattress and heavy blankets should keep you comfy but there is also a separate AC/Heat unit to make sure. There is dresser and hanging space for clothes, plus a humidifier and a fan.brbr--- MUST READ BEFORE BOOKING ---brbrAll guests should understand that this is a cabin, not a hotel. I have done everything I can to make things clean and cozy- but there will be an occasional cobweb- I don’t have a dishwasher- and I do have neighbors that occasionally make noise. The power or wifi can go out and Verizon is the only carrier that gets reliable service. Bears are part of the experience and you will need to make sure not to leave any food or trash in your car or outside. It's special to see them but requires awareness!brbrELEVATIONbrbrHigh elevation has real effects on the body. You will consume more water, physical activity will tire you quicker, and the air is very dry. Make sure to moisturize and protect. If it's sunny, you will burn faster. It's a mountainside, so it can get very windy and the weather can turn quickly.
