We love that!brbrSpring is spectacular in Pine Mountain Club!brbrAdditional Amenities: We own the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit, horseshoes included; a rock pond with a waterfall (filled in the spring); a picnic table; many rustic and well-used seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottages. brbrOur cabin has been used by more than one film crew (see Frazier Park Recut and The No Problem Zone with Eric Roberts!) and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music.brbrThe cabin has undergone a deep cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes TV with Roku; spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; Pergo flooring up and downstairs; a full-sized stove, oven, and new hood; programmable coffeemaker; vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new glasses, knives, and pot and pan set; small coffee grinder; brand new blender; brand new electric kettle; DVD player and some DVD's; log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the primary bedroom); IKEA twin bed and mattresses; some new pillows--both down and hypo-allergenic; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath; new paint throughout, new sheets, pillowcases, comforters, and towels. All carpets are brand new! But, most importantly: we have hooked up the new propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like! There are two large ceiling fans in the upstairs living area and plenty of ventilation. And, we now have air conditioning. brbrThis 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); two fold-out sleeping pads; a big couch; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout; and, filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. But, we also have Starlink installed.brbrBe sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles (barbless catch and release)! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property.brbrThe clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, a new outdoor pool (open from Memorial Day to October), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8800 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year. Guests will be allowed the use of complementary passes. They must be returned to the wood holder on the green desk in the downstairs hall. brbrGUESTS WILL BE CHARGED $100 (unfortunately, that is not a typo) FOR EACH MISSING POOL PASS (the white magnetic card). There is no exception. The HOA has changed its policy. Those are the fees that owners will be charged for each missing pool pass. So, please be extra careful about that so that you won’t be charged. The pool charges a $5.00 fee per day per user.brbrThe cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. The simple, box-car style design was configurable in different lengths with 1 or 2 bedrooms. It sits at an elevation of 6300ft at the end of a quiet culdesac with views of Sawmill Mountain.brbrThe exterior of the house is largely unchanged from 1973, with original redwood decking beautifully grayed, a bit squeaky, and still held down with nails. The glass entryway has been updated to create a modern look that brings together the exterior and interior space. On the deck there is a seating area, large dining table, stainless steel BBQ, and string lights to set the mood.brbrAs you move inside the house, you’ll enter into the main living space. There is a dining area with seating for 4 as well as a full-size modern kitchen, which features a stainless gas range with cast-iron griddle top, microwave, toaster, and coffee makers (drip, french press, espresso machine) There is plenty of space for food prep and it’s fully stocked with everything you need to do serious cooking or even some baking. More than just the basics!brbrThe living room area features custom hand made tables and a leather sofa, alongside an original eames-style chair and vintage malm wood-burning fireplace. I love listening to records and watching movies by the fire so I created that space. There is SmartTV and Apple TV for streaming, DVD/Bluray, and even a Nintendo64 for some old school gaming. For my fellow musicians, there is a guitar, banjo, and ukulele :)brbrAnd of course what cabin getaway would be complete without a HOT TUB! Easy to operate and located in a hidden corner behind the house to provide maximum privacy and make swimsuits optional. It’s an absolutely magical stargazing experience that photos can’t really capture!brbrI love a luxurious shower, so the bathroom has been updated with a walk-in glass enclosure, complete with teak shelving and shower seat. The skylight gives it a relaxing outdoor feel and the rainshower head has great pressure and endless hot water.brbrThe bath pass-through features a custom vanity, mirror and storage cabinet with plenty of towels, wash cloths, extra linens, plus a hair dryer and everything else you might need.brbrThe bedroom is a cozy throwback space with exposed wood ceilings and a queen bed. The casper mattress and heavy blankets should keep you comfy but there is also a separate AC/Heat unit to make sure. There is dresser and hanging space for clothes, plus a humidifier and a fan.brbr--- MUST READ BEFORE BOOKING ---brbrAll guests should understand that this is a cabin, not a hotel. I have done everything I can to make things clean and cozy- but there will be an occasional cobweb- I don’t have a dishwasher- and I do have neighbors that occasionally make noise. The power or wifi can go out and Verizon is the only carrier that gets reliable service. You will consume more water, physical activity will tire you quicker, and the air is very dry. Make sure to moisturize and protect. If it's sunny, you will burn faster. It's a mountainside, so it can get very windy and the weather can turn quickly.

They are mostly nocturnal, so if you ever see the large motion-sensor light come on below the deck at night, it almost certainly is going to be wildlife (bear, deer, fox, raccoon, even mountain lions, etc). The light will stay on for about 40 seconds. Never attempt to interact or feed any wildlife.brbrAlso, never leave any food or food wrappers, or anything that smells like food in your cars during these months (March-Nov.). Wildlife can find it easier than you think, and can make a mess trying to get to it!brAnd never leave any bags of trash with food/wrappers, etc., anywhere outside overnight. Located in a spectacular mountain setting just 90 miles north of Los Angeles, Pine Mountain Club is a residential community in the Los Padres National Forest. Relax & unwind while surrounded by acres of old forests that shelter an array of flora & fauna, including the rare California Condor. This cabin was one of the original homes built in PMC in 1976. Although newly updated, the 70s vibe is still alive with cork floors, shag rugs, wood paneling, an 8-track player & orange Malm fireplace.brbrOur 1970s chalet-style gambrel cabin is located at an altitude of 5500 feet above sea level. Both bedrooms are equipped with organic latex mattresses (queen downstairs, full upstairs) and ROKU smart TVs. There is also a TV with basic cable, a VHS player, and classic video games in the living room downstairs. Upstairs we have a projector for watching movies on a big screen. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven/stove, Nespresso machine with milk frother, blender, waffle maker and fondue pot. We have board games, puzzles, records, 8-track cassettes, VHS tapes, a keyboard, and a working fireplace. Towels and linens are provided. The washer and dryer cannot be used by guests, but there is a laundromat in the village and another in Frazier Park.brbrKeep in mind this is not a hotel, this is a privately owned cabin in the middle of a National Forest. The water may take a little longer to heat up, the electric heaters might smell a little dusty the first time they are turned on after a long summer, spiders might rebuild their webs less than 24 hours after the space is cleaned, there may be dirt on the outdoor furniture, you might need to wear insect repellant in the summer or shovel the driveway and deck in the winter. There is no air conditioning, only floor fans.
