The Big Stone House is amazing! Since the house can also be rented as two separate spaces, it has 2 kitchens and 2 living areas. The dining table in the front of the house is large to accommodate your whole group. If you have a larger group or are looking to house many members of a retreat, you can also rent the 2 bedroom/1 bathroom Stone Cottage on the property. Ask me for more details.brbrDownstairs you will find 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, and 1 Full), 2 full bathrooms with showers only, a fully equipped kitchen, living, and dining area. There are two entrances- one in front and one in back. Out the back door is a patio that is shared with the Cottage next door. brbrThere is one Queen bedroom upstairs, a half bath, and an additional sleeping/lounging area with a single daybed. The linens for the day bed are stored in the cubbies at the base of the bed. Use it as an additional lounge area or as an additional sleeping option. There is also a kitchen, living room, and patio with a small cafe table with 2 chairs on the balcony on the upper floor. brbrIf you have kids, there is a baby gate you can place at the top of the stairs for safety located in the closet around the corner from the stair landing. We also have installed safety bars over the high windows. brbrBe aware that to get to the upstairs from the front of the house, you must pass through the downstairs King bedroom or walk around to the back exit door. brbrWe provide all the amenities you need for your stay: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel, cotton balls, Q tips, a hair dryer etc for the bathroom. We also provide the kitchen basics like olive oil, salt and pepper, ground coffee, and creamers. It's a drip coffee maker. brbrThere are 2 gas BBQs for your use- one on the shared back patio and one upstairs on the porch outside the kitchen area. Please note the old brick grill is just for show- please do not use it!brbrThere is ample parking off street and the house gets 2 off-street parking spots. You may be able to park 4 cars off street if you stack them. There is also off-street parking as long as winter snow removal is not an issue. brbrThe epic Mt. Shasta view is reason enough to stay here, but you will also be so comfortable in the upscale bedrooms that have luxury beds and linens and bedside lamps with USB chargers. The kitchen, dining room and living room have an open floor plan. Garage parking is available for one vehicle, and there is plenty of additional parking on the property for a family motor home or snowmobile trailer. The entryway features a large mudroom for storing skis, boots, etc. Inside your personal and private entrance is a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, microwave, cooking spices, a dishwasher and other essential kitchenware to making cooking a breeze. The dining room has amazing views of the mountain and pond from the craftsman-style dining table that seats 6. The cozy living room boasts a propane stove heater to keep you warm in the winter months, and a comfy couch plus a full futon with optional bedding to accommodate 2 sleepers. There is a 40' HD TV with an Amazon streaming service provided (or you can login with your own), a Blu-ray player that also plays DVDs and CDs, with a collection of movies, books and games to enjoy. Please note that we don't get normal network or cable channels. Free Wi-Fi is available. Both bedrooms offer queen beds with soft organic cotton sheets in summer, and plush luxury flannel sheets in winter. The bathroom is bright with high ceilings and has a tub/shower, organic towels and personal size natural bath soap, lotion, and shampoo compliments of your hosts, in case you forget something. Only eco-friendly cleaning products are used throughout the Guest House. brbrOur vacation rental is licensed with Siskiyou County so you can book with confidence. We want to keep a clean and allergy free environment for all of our guests, so at this time we do not accept pets or smoking. Professionally renovated in 2022 with tile shower and bathtub, fast & reliable fiber internet, all new bedding throughout and a 50 flat smart tv. Enjoy easy access to popular shops and restaurants from this charming place to stay. brbrWalking into the room, there is a coat rack on the wall and one king sized bed with luxurious white sheets. One window in the bedroom is screened by a 35 year old holly tree so the room stays cool and shaded even in the summer months. There are also blackout blinds so you can easily take a nap during the day. *This room is located above THEORY Coffee's amazing bakery which starts baking daily at 5:15 am and some guests may hear a baking mixer (while other guests don't hear anything). We have provided ear plugs and a sound machine on the nightstand for light sleepers*brThere's a large screen smart tv and a soft chair in the corner of the bedroom beside a narrow dining table (or use it as a desk). There's a portable luggage rack and a built-in luggage bench for plenty of suitcase storage. brIf you walk to Berryvale Natural Grocery store, you can store food or beverages in the mini fridge, use the tea kettle, and there's also a microwave to warm up leftovers from one of our great local restaurants (also walking distance). brThe bathroom is beautiful with a subway tiled shower, deep bathtub and stone countertop. brbrGuests will access a small entry lobby, one flight of stairs and a common hallway. The entire loft will be private and accessible to only the guest (no sharing of space required).
