The Micro Cabin In Roberts Creek - 2 Minutes from the Beach!

Roberts Creek, British Columbia, Canada

As featured in Canadian Living magazine, Cottage Living magazine, and on the 604now's Bucket List for 2017, the Micro Cabin is nestled on a heritage homestead surrounded by lush garden and towering cedars. The ocean and the heart of Roberts Creek are two minutes away. We are located halfway between Gibsons and Sechelt, making it a perfect homebase to explore the Sunshine Coast from. Enjoy a solo retreat or a relaxing getaway for two while trying out tiny house living!brbrWe built the 125-square-foot Micro Cabin after being inspired by the tiny house movement. Guests should be aware that this is a tiny cabin, which means - it is a tiny cabin! The space is small but bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows and natural light. We think you'll find it to be carefully laid out and thoughtfully appointed. The full-size bed is made up with 100% cotton linens to ensure a good night's sleep. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need to make something delicious. The bathroom is a fully tiled wet bath like that on a boat. There is plenty of outdoor space here on our private acreage to sit and daydream or finally start writing that novel. Relax at the picnic table with a mug of hot tea and watch the sunrise or gaze at the stars. If you're lucky you might see one of our resident deer and her two fawns wandering around the property. Black bears live here too!brbrOur small homestead is one of the oldest in Lower Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. We live on the property in a farmhouse that was built in 1926 for the area's first schoolteacher. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you.brbrGuest AccessbrGuests have their own self-contained cabin that has its own kitchen and bathroom. You can borrow my mountain bike if you want to toodle around on it.brbrAmenities:br~Kitchen with mini fridge, electric cooktop, french-press coffee maker & cookwarebr~Pantry essentials: oil, sugar, gourmet coffee, teabr~Oil-filled electric radiator heaterbr~Sleeping loft with full-size bed accessed by ladder (Climbing in and out of the loft bed on a ladder requires agility and balance. Getaway Cottage in Roberts Creek: Relax by the Beach & Forest, Art studios...

Roberts Creek, British Columbia, Canada

Welcome to our 'Cedar & Sea Cottage' rental, nestled in the heart of an enchanting cedar forest and just a ten-minute walk from the beach. Immerse yourself in nature and experience the peace and tranquility this unique location offers.brbrThe SpacebrOur two-story cottage's rustic Scandi charm will make you feel right at home. It's perfect for snuggling up with a good book or sharing a glass of wine with friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay.brbrBoth bedrooms of this private two storey home feature comfy queen-size beds, ideal for couples, families, or friends. If you need space for a fifth guest, we can set up the Daybed in the living room, which converts from a couch into a cozy bed.brbrGuest AccessbrStep into our serene forested yard, where giant cedars loom and sway gently. For an additional fee, we can prepare our magical wood-burning hot tub next to a gentle creek, and 30 meters from our main house. We also have a registered massage therapist on site. Nearby Dorris Lane leads to a beautiful forest path that eventually spills out onto the ocean beach.brbrbrWood-Fueled Hot Tub Experience brbrThank you for your interest in our highly sought-after hot tub experience! Before booking your accommodation dates, we kindly ask that you send us an inquiry to confirm the tubs availability. brbrFor a fee of $150 CAD per night, and again when available, we are delighted to prepare our wood-fueled hot tub for you. Here’s why this unique experience is truly special and priced the way it is: brbrPreparing the hot tub is a labor of love, requiring about 5 hours of work. We refill the tub with every new guest using pure, chemical-free meltwater from our creek. To clean the tub, we use only natural Castile soap, a splash of vinegar, and plenty of effort, ensuring a mineral-rich, fresh water soak without any harsh chemicals. Heating the tub is equally detailed, requiring four large wheelbarrows of chopped wood to achieve the perfect temperature. brbrThe result is an extraordinary experience: relaxing in pristine water warmed by a crackling wood fire, surrounded by the natural scents of the forest rather than chemical odors. brbrAfter each use, we return the water to the creek as pure as when we borrowed it, minimizing our environmental impact. brbrThe setting itself is magical. Towering cedar trees sway overhead, and the ambiance is enhanced by the glow of candlelight. We can arrange cold beverages to complement your soak, and for those who enjoy cold plunges, there’s a refreshing pool in the creek just steps away. brbrBecause the hot tub relies on a complex open-air wood stove, operation is handled exclusively by us. Please note that we cannot offer this experience during regional fire bans, which typically occur between June and October. brbrWe hope this insight into the care and effort involved helps you understand the pricing of this one-of-a-kind activity. We look forward to providing you with an unforgettable experience!br.........................................................................brbrHOUSE MANUALbrbrWe hope you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us. To make your stay as seamless as possible, we have put together this house manual with some important information about our home and the surrounding area. Please spend a few minutes reading it through.brbrTowards the end of the manual, you’ll also find our contact information in case you need us during your stay.
