Casa Bogart-Dog Friendly, 3 Bedroom, Sits 1 Block Above heart of Winthrop!

Winthrop, Washington, United States

Casa Bogart is a dog friendly(2 dog limit, legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is located just one block up “Pool Hall Hill” from the center of Town. Casa Bogart, originally built in the early 1900’s, was the 40-year home of former Winthrop Mayor Warren Badger and family and has recently been restored to its early 1900’s era charm. Visitors can enjoy sitting on the veranda, overlooking Winthrop and the surrounding hills and mountains. The fenced yard and garden is peace filled and gorgeous. brbrThe house has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with flat screen smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has a king bed. There is a sofa bed in a side room off one of the bedrooms. There is a 2-car carport with an EV 50 amp charging station and, of course, access to the decks and yard.brbrThough not licensed as 'disabled accessible', the house is all on one floor and is easy to maneuver in a chair. There is a low slope ramp on the SE side of the house from the carport to the low (~ 14”) SE deck. The entry door on this side of the house is 36” and once inside the house the NW Queen Suite is accessed through a 36” wide door as is the suite’s bathroom. During the winter the access to the ramp from the carport needs to be cleared of snow and ice. This is not done routinely, especially during times of heavy snowfall. During the winter we would request that anyone entering in a chair have a competent able-bodied person to assist them as needed. At this time the house does not have a roll-in or low-curb shower, only two tubs. brEXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:br1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. Fawn Creek Hideaway-Close to Mazama&Ski Trails!

Winthrop, Washington, United States

This cabin was originally built in the 1960s using logs and lumber harvested from the surrounding forest. As one of the first structures in the Edelweiss area, it began as a hunter’s camp—complete with a horse corral for trips into the backcountry. Years later, it was thoughtfully remodeled from a rustic shelter into a cozy, comfortable getaway.brbrSet among open woods with views of Lucky Jim Bluff, the property is bordered by Fawn Creek, which tumbles down the hillside from early spring through late summer, filling the air with the soothing sound of cascading water.brbrInside Fawn Creek Hideaway you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookware, spices, a dishwasher, microwave, 3 types of coffeemakers(standard drip, french press and pour over coffee option, coffee grinder provided as well), tea lovers have a tea kettle, electric kettle and loose leaf tea leaves holder. . A sunny enclosed breakfast nook and open living room with a gas fireplace create a welcoming space to relax. There is a laundry room with washer/dryer and a bathroom with walk in shower(shampoo conditioner and bodywash provided) The upstairs bedroom, perched among the trees like a private treehouse, features a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. Downstairs, another queen bedroom with sliding glass doors opens onto the deck. For extra guests, a queen sofa bed is available in the living room. The cabin also includes a Smart TV (Netflix, YouTubeTV, and more—use your own login), a Bluetooth speaker, radio, and high-speed internet.brbrOutdoor spaces are designed for relaxation. Enjoy your morning coffee/tea on the cozy side deck, or gather for dinner and drinks on the large covered deck with its BBQ and dining table. Unwind in the cedar sauna (seats 4–6) with a changing room, or cool off with your feet in the crisp mountain water of Fawn Creek on a warm afternoon.brbrLocation & access: Trails are just steps away. Walk 10 minutes downhill to the Lunachick trailhead or uphill to Lower Fawn Creek Trail and explore the Rendezvous Basin. Both connect to the 120-mile Methow Valley Trail System—perfect for biking, hiking, or skiing without needing to drive.
