Moose Hollow(a legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law)is a newly-built, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, nestled in the trees, located about 3 miles from Mazama. The home shares in community space that connects to the Methow River and trail system allowing for ski-in, ski-out access to the Methow Valley's renowned trails. You can ski, stroll, ride or run to the popular suspension bridge just one mile away, and/or launch into the miles of trail system. The location is an ideal base camp for the world class outdoor activities that the North Cascades provides.

It is a great house for families and friends to enjoy. The main floor has a great room with the living, dining, and kitchen areas all connected and opens to the covered patio through the french door. The main floor is rounded out by the king bedroom, one full bath, and the mudroom. The vaulted ceiling ties in a loft/writing space on the second floor, which then connects to the queen bedroom and a bedroom with a twin over full (with trundle) bunk bed and a second full bath.

There is a wood burning stove in the great room and miscellaneous games available for relaxing after your adventures. Available entertainment includes a CD player, board games, cards, cribbage board, puzzles, blue tooth speaker, Kuub (Swedish lawn game), and horseshoes. This will be a place you will love to come to enjoy all your favorite Valley activities!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:
1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.

2)Trail Access/Closure Information:
If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades is closed via Hwy 20 because of any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend.

INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE:
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.

Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA

**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

House was lovely. It was clean and very close to the trails. Everything worked well, except for the wood stove. We were a group that are very accustomed to wood stoves, yet we could not keep it lit with the wood provided and when lit, smoke would invade the house. You might want to bring your own salt and pepper as there was salt in the house, but no pepper and no dispensers for either. Minor matter, if you are aware. :)

This property is quiet, a short walk to a great walking/biking/cross-country trail, short drive to Winthrop, clean, cozy, and a great house for family and friends to gather.

Hi there, The house was great and the kitchen had all the cooking utensils we needed. However, the washing machine has mold in it. You might consider leaving the door open to the machine or running a bleach cycle to clean it. Other than that, it was great and we would love to stay again!

Hi, we enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. Very minor things but I would include kleenex in the bathrooms. Provide better instruction on how to light the wood stove. Leave instructions on how to access the trail from the neighborhood. I label the trashcan with kindling. We arrived with no kindling and just large pieces of wood. Difficult to understand when the flew was open or closed so first night struggled to get the fire going. Found the kindling the next day out by the shed which made all the difference. Otherwise great place and great location.

We loved our stay in this cabin near Mazama. It was very close to the Mazama store and less than 30 mins from Winthrop and popular hikes, but felt very private and secluded. Our group of 7 adults stayed very comfortably here. One piece of advice - it was a little hard to find at night, so go past the home under construction and then take a right, a left, and another right. Also, we thought maybe not all the sheets had been changed prior to arrival - FYI to the hosts for future guests

Nice place we were happy to not be right in Winthrop. Heat vents in upstairs bedrooms were loud and if you like to cook bring g your own pans. Comfortable beds and space to hang out together. Could use some table lamps.
