You will be nestled between the national forest and the Hood Canal; therefore, you will find plenty of outdoor opportunities to hike, bike, boat, and fish. Harvest your own dinner: shrimping, crabbing, shellfishing, and salmon fishing are nearby. Also, centrally located and makes a great home base for some fantastic day trips for all kinds of interests. Day trips northwest include the Dungeness Spit, lavender farms, berry farms, and Crescent Lake Lodge. Day trips northeast include cideries, the fantastic fun seaside town called Port Townsend (jazz/blues festivals in the summer), Fort Warden, Fort Casey, and Fort Flagger.brbrYou are welcome to walk down the beach line and hang out on our beach or gather a few oysters for your family meal. You will be blown away by the view you'll see of the beautiful canal through floor to ceiling windows when you walk in the front door and look past the kitchen to the living room and the water beyond. You can enjoy watching eagles during spring and summer fly by or sea lions and seals and an occasional whale frolic in the water. Or perhaps you’d rather set out to scuba dive for octopus just 150 yards from the house. At the end of your day, grab some marshmallows and roast them in our fire pit, just a few feet from the edge of the water and also enjoying a beautiful sunset while cozying up to the fire. brbrThe kitchen includes a breakfast bar and dining area. It opens into the dining room and living room where you will enjoy the incredible view of the water. Take in water view while sitting out on one of the two oversized decks at night looking at the full moon’s reflection on the water is a great way to relax at the end of your day. brbrThe living room has an insert fireplace and space for family gatherings and activities. Divers can see several species of rockfish, octopus and all sorts of crabs in one of the best diving locations in the Northwest, and diving gear can be rented close by. A little further down the road is Mount Walker. A short drive up the mountain at the scenic view area, you will be blown away by the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountain range and turn your head back east and see the City of Seattle skyline. According to our guests, our house on the edge of the Olympic National Park is an ideal location as a base for their adventures to explore the park. Olympic National Park covers 922,651 acres of three distinct habitat zones, the alpine region, the coastline and the temperate rain forest. At 1,441 square miles, the park is larger than Rhode Island(1,214 square miles). From the deck, guests see nothing but water looking both north and south, where you can view wildlife. Our waterfront home house offers spectacular views with 130 feet of low bank beach on Hood Canal. The location offers a nature’s paradise to view wildlife, on occasion we have seals on our beach and sometimes you can hear and see them sing to each other at night. Home is a cozy older house for a place to totally get away from it all.brbrEagles often glide by as close as 50 yards from the deck, great blue herons nest 75 yards away, and sometimes you will see deer hanging in the driveway in total peaceful tranquility. The panoramic water views of the beautiful Hood Canal from our giant wood deck are breathtaking and you are less then five minutes from Mount Walker where you can drive and see views of the Seattle skyline or, if you look in the opposite direction, you will see the beautiful snow peaks of the Olympics Mountain range. brbrIf hiking is your thing, there are hundreds of beautiful trails nearby in the Olympic National Park. Hungry — head south nearby to Brinnon for two high quality restaurant for meals. Then come back home for a sunset kayak in front from the house. Swimming, fishing, and crabbing are possible there as well. This getaway has the luxuries of home. Perfectly secluded, on the banks of a river in the heart of the Hood Canal. You'll enjoy a well-stocked kitchen, blankets & pillows galore, games & puzzles. Fiber internet keeps you connected, and a Generac standby generator keeps you on, even when the power is out in the area. Even bidets and a hot tub, it's all here! brRoom for everyone with 5 comfy beds and 2 full baths. Huge lawn on the river for your own paradise. NO BIG PARTIES. This is a quiet neighborhood. brThis is actually our beloved family cabin, which is why it feels so homey. We love to gather with our friends and family, cook great meals, hunker down to watch movies or play games. As such, it has everything you need to be comfortable, and then some. brOur home is a great homebase for any Hood Canal or Olympic National Park adventure. It's all an easy drive away. Surrounded by trees with private access to the river, we always feel totally away from it all here. brbrThere's a small studio at the front of our property that we sometimes stay in when guests are in the main house. It's not often, and we'll let you know if we plan to be there. The carport is there for you to use, but the garage is off limits (and not easily accessible from the house anyway.) brThe river property is just for you, (and us if we happen to be in town.) It's not public, so that huge lawn and private beach are there for you! We most likely won't be around, but we have plenty of friends in the neighborhood if there's an actual emergency. brYou definitely need a car to get here, and get around here. We have ample parking, but in order to take advantage of all the outdoor activities around here, you need a car.

This beautiful low bank waterfront cabin in Brinnon is a great place to get away to and share happy times and good meals with your friends and family.brbrABOUT SEAL ROCK COTTAGEbrbrThis newly constructed house sits across the street from Hood Canal, giving it great views and lower summertime temperatures. Enjoy the sunrises over the canal while you have a coffee, or sit out and watch the evening sun glint off of Mt. Rainier while having dinner on the 600+ square foot deck.brbrIf you'd like to spend time by, or in, the water, this house has 60 feet of waterfront across the dead end street, and if you enter the campground at the end of the road, you can walk along the beach for over a mile. Because of the dead end road, this house's closest neighbor is a forested campground with hiking trails and wildlife to watch. Traffic may include bald eagles and deer, rather than cars and trucks. In addition, this house is one of the few houes in the area to be on the canal but not be directly on 101! Enjoy 300+ feet of wooded backyard to eliminate the sounds of the road while you enjoy the views and serenity of Hood Canal.brbrOn specific days in the summer, shrimping is allowed in Hood Canal. Launch your rowboat from the property and head out to catch your own dinner (a license is required).brbrREVIEWSbrbrJust a stone's throw from the water, and we could watch for harbor seals, sea lions, and orca! (With mixed results.) There were even eagles right above! We roasted marshmallows over the back yard firepit. There's a fire pit in the back as well as down by the water. The trees behind the house block any noises of civilization you may want to escape. In addition to the fire pit, there's a horsehoe court in the back, ready for that distinctive sound of the shoes hitting the stakes and laughter of people.brbrThe property is pet friendly (maximum of two dogs under 40 pounds, with a per pet, per day fee), and set up for easy living. A wide open great room has ample comfortable seatings, a smart TV with 150+ channels, 100+ DVDs, and board games and puzzles. This house is perfect for spending time with your people and just relaxing.brbrABOUT BRINNONbrbrLocated at the northern part of the Hood Canal, Brinnon is a small village.
