Upstairs you will find the main living space – kitchen, dining and family rooms – in addition to a primary bedroom, a guest California king bedroom and bathroom, and a laundry room. The lower level has a large media/rec room with a gas fireplace and ping pong table. There are two bedrooms with a bathroom on one side and two bedrooms with a bathroom on the other side, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements.brOur comfortable family room is the ultimate space for gathering. Cozy up to the wood burning fireplace in our large family room with vaulted, beamed ceilings. Firewood is provided to get you started, but if you plan to burn through a large amount of wood, we ask that you contribute to the pile so that we don’t run out for the next guest staying. We have a large collection of games and puzzles for the whole family, as well as a built in desk tucked in the corner and another desk on the side for the teleworkers or virtual students who still want to be close to the action.brFantastic outdoor space abounds! Lots of both open and covered deck space where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine as the sun sets. Grill up dinner on the gas grill or relax after a day of hiking in the large hot tub on the back deck. There’s an outdoor dining table seating 6, as well as several chairs to lounge in on both front and back decks.brEntertaining little ones We have a bin stocked with a variety of outdoor toys such as balls, frisbees, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. During the summer you will have access to an outdoor heated pool with a playground and covered and screened in picnic area, all within a 4-5 minute drive from the house.brWe are just a short 5-10 minute walk from the stunning Devil’s Knob overlook!brOur house has 6 TVs - all are signed into a guest Netflix account and the main room TVs are signed into a guest Disney+ account. We’ve got 300Mbps Wi-Fi so you never need to worry about having enough bandwidth for your group..brOur kitchen is well stocked for cooking for a large group. You will find coffee/coffee supplies in the cupboard, and a bottle of wine in the wine rack! brWe have both traditional drip coffee makers, as well a Keurig (bring your own pods). Relax at our cozy Wintergreen cabin/'modern farmhouse' nestled in a breath-taking valley of the Blue Ridge mountains. If you want all the feel of the Virginia countryside valley area plus access to the mountaintop in minutes, this is the retreat for you. Our well-furnished home is located in a farm-like setting within the Rodes Farm area of Wintergreen resort. We are 2.5 hours from Washington,D.C. and 35 minutes southwest of Charlottesville, Va. There are several areas closer to home as well, including: Waynesboro (20 mins.), Nellysford (3mins.), or Wintergreen's mountaintop(15mins.) These all have stores, groceries, restaurants, and entertainment. brbrThis clean,non-smoking ,private get-away sleeps 6. We also have a twin size air mattress in downstairs bedroom closet if needed for a 7th person. Our home offers a queen-size bed in the Master bedroom (lower-level), A double bed in a lower level bedroom and twin beds in loft. There is a bathroom on each floor. They both have showers. Downstairs has a separate vanity area and bathtub/shower . brbrOur beautiful cabin is a non-pet home which has been recently updated with a new couch and refrigerator. We have hardy plank exterior walls, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a big dining room table to accommodate a large group which folds down for smaller numbers. Such pieces as our Old Englander wood stove (with year-round supply of firewood) and an old Virginia pie-safe enhance the warm feeling you will find when staying here. Because we want our guests to enjoy their time as long as possible, we offer morning check-ins and late check-outs at no additional charge as long as there are no conflicting reservations around day of arrival/departure. brbrWe love our house during every season.
