The living room and dining area look at the lake through sliding glass doors which open on to the very spacious fully furnished deck. Two picnic tables and outdoor furniture cover the deck. There are two bedrooms and a bath with the Master Bedroom opening onto the deck through sliding glass doors which offers a beautiful view of Smith Mountain Lake. Our home is conducive to total relaxation and fun for the entire family. brThe downstairs opens to a covered patio from the den. This patio is amply furnished with a swing, corn hole set, fire ring, picnic table, and gas grill. There are 2 bedrooms with full size beds providing beautiful views of the lake and a utility room containing a washer, dryer and refrigerator.brHighspeed WiFi access.br The house has central air and heat. There are ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms.br A lighted walkway with a handrail provides easy access to the lake. A snack shack, bi-level docks and a large sun deck. New decking and handrails installed last summer. There is both a refrigerator and microwave for your use in the Snack Shack. Two kayaks, one canoe along with a pedal boat for playing in the cove . The dock has an area for a boat to be tied along with ladders to exit the water when swimming .brA floating dock is anchored near shore to enjoy the sun.br Adjacent to the driveway to the lake house there is a 5 acre park with tennis and pickle ball courts, along with a basketball goal. It offers deep water for swimming from the floating and stationary dock, and the shoreline offers sandy walk in water, perfect for young children to swim or to sit on Adirondack chairs while splashing your feet in the waters edge. brbrThe dock also offers enough space to tie up your boat. If you are looking to rent a boat during your stay, our home is conveniently located new the Halesford Bridge area which offers several marina and rental options. In addition, if you wish to trailer your own boat, there is a boat ramp within our community for your convenience to launch and the house offers ample space in the driveway and side street for your trailer in addition to multiple vehicle parking. brbrThe dock area also offers a waterside fire pit with a shaded sitting area for all day relaxation and mini-frig for afternoon beverages. The yard has plenty of trees so there is always small branches and sticks on the ground to gather to help build your campfire, and we also keep a small supply of firewood nearby. brbrFor your entertainment, there are two kayaks and two paddle boards provided for lots of lake fun!! We also have available a variety of adult size life jackets for your use but be sure to pack life jackets for your children as all sizes are not available. There is also an electric air pump to assist you in blowing up your favorite floats. brbrThe house is situated on a corner lot with a large front yard for family yard games, and we have a corn hole game for hours of fun. Also we are conveniently located only minutes by land or water to Bridgewater Plaza and area amenities, for shopping, dining, arcade and mini- golf. Nearby, there are also golf courses, wineries, historical sites and the Blue Ridge Parkway to explore.brbrThe main level of the house offers a renovated kitchen and dining area with seating for eight. The main Living Room offers hardwood floors, a cathedral ceiling, fireplace and patio doors out to lakeside deck for outside dining and sunset views. The master suite offers a queen bed, private bath with dual sinks and private lakeside deck as well. The main floor also has two additional bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a double bed) and second bath. The lower level provides the third bath and fourth sleeping area and family room combination. This offers a queen size and a double size bed, along with family room furnishings and area for games and second fireplace. brbrThere are DVD’s, PlayStation, Game Cube and super Nintendo with many games to play. There is also board games, puzzles for indoor competitive fun or to relax. The family room also has patio doors leading out to a lakeside covered patio with a Weber gas grill, and plenty of seating for relaxation and dining outside. brbrFinally, one of my favorite things to do on vacation is cook for my family and friends, so with that in mind, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, casserole dishes, electric griddle, mixer, crock pot, kitchen aid, toaster, coffee maker and multiple cooking utensils, nice dishware, flatware, wine glasses, etc. Everything you need to prepare and serve your favorite meals. brbrCertainly, we are available to answer any of your questions, to assist you in finding the perfect vacation location on SML. We recently purchased this home and have painted and updated the furnishings. It is clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone! It is in a perfect mid-lake location, near the State Park at marker R-21.brbrInside you will find fresh new linens and decor, comfortable furniture and brand new kitchen appliances. There is plenty to do to keep everyone busy on a rainy day or after sunset. There are 4 new flat screen TV's with Xfinity service, unlimited data wifi, a pool table, air hockey table, and foosball table, and an arcade style game machine. brbrOutside, it only gets better! This is what you come to the lake for! Huge new deck with plenty of seating and a large grilling area. The deck has expansive views of the cove and beautiful sunsets. There is a gentle slope to the dock that even the grandparents can do, with a pathway the whole way. There is a covered seating area at the dock, a floater with plenty of room to tie off a boat, and DEEP water. The dock is nestled just inside a no wake area, making it great for swimming and kayaking. There is an outdoor firepit with comfy new adirondack chairs. Also, new for 2021, we have removed the wooden pathway to the lake and replaced it with a concrete pathway!brbrOccupancy limit is set to 6 due to limitations of Bedford County rental permit.

There is also a bar with a roll up widow that is accessible from the inside with a fridge to keep your beverages cold. This waterfront townhome is one of two rentals in a unique triplex (See Spike's Place, VRBO Listing #282712) situated on over two acres in a single family residential subdivision. A convenience store is 5 minutes away, and grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, marinas, boat rentals, movies and the State Park are all within 2 to 30 minutes' drive - some by car and some by boat! The small protected cove is ideal for swimming, fishing, floating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and paddle boating but with easy access to the lake and only 2 minutes from the Bridge which has restaurants, miniature golf, game room, gift shops, realtors and the Chamber of Commerce.brbrKathy's Place is two stories totaling 2800+ sq. ft. plus a 200 sq. ft. lakefront sunroom. All rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. There is a queen bed and twin bed in the master bedroom. The lakefront bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. All beds have pillow top mattress covers. The living room has a 65' Flat screen HD TV. The Family room been converted to a game room with a pool table with ping pong table top, a foosball table, a 42' Flat screen HD TV on a swivel tilting mount with TV Streaming package and WIFI High Speed Internet is included. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel cookware, 25 cu. ft. refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender and Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. The laundry room is equipped with commercial size washer & dryer. Scheduled trash pick up is once a week. The unit has cleaning supplies, vacuum, ironing board, iron and hair dryer. There is also a baby gate for the stairwell and a baby seat for use at the dining room table. brbrAll bed linens, bath towels and kitchen towels along with toilet paper, dish soap, trash bags and courtesy soaps are provided year round EXCEPT FOR THE SUMMER WEEKLY RENTALS. A $75.00 fee will be charged for the first 2 nights and $10.00 for any additional night per pet for extra cleaning to keep the unit and yard neat and clean.
