Stayed Oct 24, 2025We really enjoyed our stay. It is perfect for families. We enjoyed the comfortable living areas, the foosball table and darts, and just the fabulous lake views. The beds are very comfortable, too. Plenty of room to enjoy.

Stayed Oct 16, 2025We were looking for something over 50 miles from VT to take our CoC freshman away for fall break. The downstairs bedroom served as a sanctuary for the sleeping college student, which the rest of us drank wine on the dock, played darts, and hung in the hot tub. Lot of vineyards around to keep us busy during the day. The house was immaculate and exactly as depicted in the pictures. Furniture was comfortable and plenty of TVs around. Kitchen not very well stocked, but didn't bother us as we had no intention of cooking.

Stayed Sep 27, 2025The property is very nice. Plenty of bathrooms and privacy from family/friends. Lake access is in a no wake zone and is a very short trip from the launch and to Bridgewater Plaza. My wife and I enjoyed cruising in our boat and exploring the lakes many many nooks and crannies. SML is the nicest lake on the east coast.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Nothing but woods to the side of the house so it feels very private. We especially enjoyed cooking steaks on the grill while watching the deer below. Lake view while not overwhelming, was just very serene. Beds were comfortable with tvs in all the rooms which was helpful. Master was huge and the bathrooms were clean. The kids loved the dart board and foosball table. Hot tub after the lake was so nice. But the best part was just chillin on the dock. Will definitely go back.

Stayed Jul 15, 2025We loved the overall experience and would definitely come again and recommend it to friends! There was a nice amount of space and it was very clean. We enjoyed fishing and the canoe. We would have liked to have 2 so we could go out in pairs. The lake is beautiful. The deer are fun to see. We loved it, thank you!

Stayed Jul 10, 2025This house suited our family perfectly! We needed 4 bedrooms and the layout was perfect: first floor has 3 bedrooms, basement has 1. On the first floor to the right of the kitchen is 1 king bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom with a full bathroom (perfect for my husband and 1 who sleep in separate bedrooms), on the left of the kitchen is the master suite king bedroom with its own full bath, and off of the TV room is another full bathroom. The basement has a large games area that is delightful (but ultimately we just played boardgames at the kitchen table and sang karaoke in the TV room), and a queen bedroom suite that attaches to a laundry/ mud room. 4/5 of us had comfortable beds—I slept on the bottom bed in the bunk room and the mattress feels like it’s probably a 4” foam pad on top of bed slats, so perhaps too firm for most people (I like a firm mattress, but it was a bit stiff even for me). The bunk room deserves a fan, it gets stuffy in there (I borrowed one from the master suite, but it really should just stay in the bunk room since the other bedrooms have ceiling fans). Kitchen was great but felt sort of understocked on equipment. Also we all felt the house needed a second fridge since it was super crowded for our group of 5. All the decks were AWESOME and we looooooved our private lake access point. The view through the woods is great. Grill works well. There were enough towels, hand soap, and TP which was nice. Bed prepared for a LOT of steps! Great stay!

Stayed Mar 29, 2025Our family loved this home so much. Very clean, great signage and thoughtful personal touches throughout. The gravel path to lake was quite steep so beware. Unfortunately had some stink bug issues in the master bathroom, but .. the amount of fun with the dart board, dock and hot tub made it worth jt! We would return

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This lakefront house in a quiet neighborhood has many positive qualities - roomy, very comfortable beds, four bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, nice decks on the back and down at the lake over the dock. There was poor TV connectivity and a steep gravel path down to the lake which is difficult to climb back up. A drawback was the large number of spiders and roaches in the lower-level bedroom. Most were crunchy, dead carcasses but some were alive, so that area definitely needed a thorough cleaning and pest treatment.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We were able to reconnect as college roomates. This location provided a central place to meet. The house was beautiful and allowed plenty of space. We enjoyed walki g trails at the state park and visiting local wi eries. Local food establishments were great.

Stayed Aug 18, 2024We had a wonderful stay at this rental house on Smith Mountain Lake. The house itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated, making it a cozy and inviting place to relax. The amenities provided were more than sufficient, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a peaceful getaway. However, there are two minor points to consider. First, the outdoor garbage can was already full upon our arrival. It would be helpful to have a second one available, especially for longer stays. Secondly, the walk down to the house’s dock is quite steep and can be challenging, particularly when returning. It's not for the faint-hearted, so guests should be prepared for a bit of a workout. Despite these small inconveniences, the house is an excellent place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Smith Mountain Lake. We would definitely recommend it and would love to return in the future!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house was great and met our needs for a last minute booking. The location is very convenient to the boat launch and Bridgewater. The walk to the water is long and very steep, too steep to drive as well, but overall it was a great property and had everything we needed for a good, long weekend.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really liked the layout of the house and that everything was new and very clean. We had a great extended weekend there. Also, the use of the pickleball court was a bonus!
