It was purchased on a credit card! That owner did a full rehab and built the kitchen cabinets and counters herself. brbrWe think Peach St. is about the best place to stay in Cape Charles as you are a half block to Central Park one way, downtown the other way (right next to AJ's and Deadrise Pies!) and a quick four blocks to the beach. Our family of five LOVES to come down whenever we can by ourselves or with friends and are sad to head home every time we leave!brbrYou will love spending time on one of the three porches in the home - we think the Peach House might be one of the last in Cape Charles to have both a downstairs and an upstairs screened porch. Prep a meal inside while the kids watch a show on the porch TV!brbrA paddle board and kayak are in the backyard that you can pop in your car to enjoy on the bay.brbrThis is a HISTORIC home built in 1904 with quirks and charm so please be aware of this before booking. Here is our completely honest disclaimer so you know exactly what you are getting! br• The full bathroom upstairs is attached to the bedroom at the top of the back staircase. When multiple families stay, guests in the front bedroom will likely go downstairs and use the half bath at night. We hope to turn the tiny bedroom in the front of the home into a bathroom in the future. br• The only shower and tub inside are in the upstairs full bath. In the summer, this does not seem to be a big deal as most guests take advantage of the outdoor shower. However, in the colder months, please be aware of this if multiple families are staying in the home.br• The kitchen is also on the list to be remodeled – it works fine right now but does not have a dishwasher.br• It’s also a historic home – being at the beach the floors sometimes get a little dusty and are a little squeaky. Occasionally, there will be bugs inside – again – it’s an older house at the beach and please expect some of these things as part of the charm!br• We also had one person complain that we do not have china – we thought at first they meant Chinese food in town – however they meant fine china. Mostly including this in our disclaimer because we thought it was funny, however please know that we have cool kitchen dishes, but they are not … china.br• Finally – know that our cleaning fee is less than what our cleaner actually charges. Please be aware of this if you book – especially in the off season when you have the chance to book for killer rates as we like to allow as many people as possible to get to enjoy one of our favorite places! We have the best cleaner on the Shore working with us, however it is hard to find reliable people in this somewhat remote location. Hopefully that’s why you’re pumped to stay in Cape Charles anyway …brbrWe’ve had a few people with different expectations stay with us and we do not want that to happen to you!brbrWe LOVE our beach house on Peach Street and cherish the times we get to come stay. Bedding and towels are provided. A Pack'n'Play is also available for your use.brbrBEDS/BATHS: Located on the 1st floor, the master bedroom has a king-size bed, smart TV, walk-in closet, and sliding doors leading out to the 1st floor deck. The large private master bath has a roomy double-head walk-in shower with bench, soaking tub, and plenty of lighting. The 2nd bedroom on the 1st floor has a queen-size bed, smart TV, and 4-piece ensuite bathroom; the bedroom also has sliding doors to the 1st floor deck. On the 2nd floor, you'll find two more bedrooms (one with two double beds and one with two single beds and one double bed), smart TVs in each bedroom, and another 4-piece bath.brbrKITCHEN/DINING: On the 2nd floor, the home boasts a modern, well-equipped kitchen with all new appliances -- it's a vacationing chef’s dream! There is a Keurig, as well as a drip coffee maker. The dining room has an 8-seat table, perfect for eating, playing boardgames, and putting together puzzles. There are also 5 barstools for additional seating plus a high chair for our youngest guests.brbrLIVING ROOM: With sliding door access to a huge deck, the living room is a fabulous common space. Here you will find a smart TV, gas fireplace, pool table, indoor shuffleboard, and amazingly comfortable couches where you can curl up and binge your favorite shows and movies.brbrCROW'S NEST: The 3rd floor is a perfect hideaway for teens, couples, or others who want to enjoy a separate - but nearby - space. The aforementioned wine fridge and wet bar, as well as a smart TV and sleeper sofa, are up here. There is also a small deck with chairs and an umbrella -- and views of the Chesapeake Bay.brbrOUTDOOR SPACE: This vacation rental has 3 decks with ample tables and outdoor seating, wood firepit, propane grill, corn hole, paddle boards, cooler, and beach umbrellas and chairs for your use. There is also a ping pong table in one of the garages. Guests can also use the Bay Creek Community outdoor pool and tennis /pickleball courts (on the other side of the town - a short golf cart-ride away). This charming newly-renovated home was built in 1888 and is right in the heart of Cape Charles on a corner lot. It is close to the distillery, park, shops, and the beach! On the 1st floor, you will find a large living area, a parlor, dining area, bathroom and a spacious kitchen. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The 3rd floor attic has recently been finished. It has 2 twin beds and a full bed.
