Lovely and recently renovated apartment! The downstairs is a lovely open floor plan. Cozy but classy and we have a full working kitchen in there as well which is an open space to the living roon. Sink, stove, oven etc. Pots and pans and everything in the kitchen is for you to use if you would like! We try to leave our guests fresh eggs from the chickens and organic produce when available. Upstairs is a cozy loft with a nice bed. Free wifi included and there is netflix and hulu available to you as well. The shared space that is closer to our home (backyard) is the firepit and grill which you are welcome to use and enjoy the views while you are at it. You will be on a farm- we have free range chickens and turkeys that wander around the farm most of the time and lots of horses in view! We hope you enjoy your stay and look forward to hosting you!

All mattresses and pillows are covered with allergen/pest free zippered protectors.brbrOur home is strictly non-smoking but feel free to step outside away from open doors and windows if necessary. The Bluemont train carried them out of the city where they were met at the station by horse drawn wagons to take them up the mountain. Bishop’s Gate was built in 1910 as the parsonage for the bishop who ran the neighboring church. The charming cottage was restored in 2018 by the owners who live on the adjacent property. The house is thoroughly updated while staying true to its original form. Original heart pine floors, bead board walls and original furnishings offer lots of charm. All kitchen supplies (including coffee for the Keurig coffeemaker) are included. Online work or school with reliable internet. Games, puzzles, books and a record player are available. brThe screened porch, complete with porch swing and rockers, is surrounded by mature boxwoods- perfect nesting sites for the songbirds that welcome you. The ~100 year old log cabin has been restored, yet leaves many of the original features like the open ceiling that showcases beams harvested from the mountain.brbrThe Cabin (main room) has a good-sized addition that provides a full kitchen with new appliances, a full bathroom, a sitting room/den with a washer/dryer, and a cozy bedroom with a comfy queen bed and all linens. For added privacy, there is a separate driveway and parking space for 2 autos.brbrWe are in eastern Clarke county, just over the Loudoun County border in Northwestern Virginia.
