Highmeadows Estate in the heart of Bluemont Virginia

Highmeadows is an exquisite property! It is spacious and comfortable. While modernized in all the ways that make a stay pleasant (air conditioning, ceiling fans, fully-equipped kitchen, strong Wi-Fi, etc.), it has also retained much of its charm from its late 19th century beginnings, particularly the gorgeous wood floors. Seven adults plus one large dog stayed here for four days to attend a family wedding in nearby Berryville. The four queen bedrooms plus three and half bathrooms were plenty for us all to be comfortable and have plenty of space to get ready for all the pre-wedding activities and the wedding. I was very fond of starting my mornings with juice on the daybed in the enclosed sun porch with its magnificent views of the very large backyard and woods. Our daughter’s golden retriever loved all the space outside to run around. The fire pit also looked inviting though we were not home any nights to utilize it.Teri was quite helpful and prompt addressing a couple questions we had before arriving. And, the self-entry was a breeze. I would recommend this gorgeous home to any family or group!

The house was lovely. The kitchen was well-appointed with every tool, gadget, appliance we could have needed. We had a quick question for our host and she responded immediately. Snow fell during our stay and the driveway was plowed and the sidewalks shoveled in the morning. Great stay!

Beautiful area and really comfortable house.

Beautiful house and grounds. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Kids might get bored but perfect for adults who want to tone down the noise for a few days. The mountains are gorgeous and the surrounding vineyards and breweries are pretty cool to visit. We liked the property so much we really had to motivate to put down our books and leave the porch!

This house and property are beautiful! It was perfect for our family's early Christmas and such a treat that there were Christmas decorations and a tree!

A beautiful property in a communal setting within its gate. Contrary to what is communicated on the VRBO website, other guests were also staying on the property while we were renting. Since we were traveling with our dog and were concerned with car traffic and open gates, it took some extra communication with other guests to assure the safety of our dog during our stay.

Beautiful estate with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of space to relax and enjoy family time. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were super comfortable. The property was well maintained and decorated and gave us the perfect place to spend a family weekend together. Great location to visit Bear Chase Brewery, Bluemont Vineyard & Bear’s Den scenic overlook & hiking trails.
