The house is equipped with all of the amenities and space for your family vacation. You will have fun on the slopes, playing in the game room, and sitting in the hot tub while looking up at the stars. And, at the end of the day, enjoy watching the sunset with a glass of wine.brbrThere are a total of 4 bedrooms with 9 beds, a loft with 4 beds, and 3.5 bathrooms. During the summer months, both mountains have fun summer activities, including a water slide, mountain biking, rock climbing, live music and an adventure park. The quaint Manchester Village is a 20 minute drive from our home. The village is lined with shops, antique stores and many great restaurants! The house is also close to multiple state parks, lakes, cliff jumping, and hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail. Come in the fall and enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage and attend the Stratton Harvest Fest which includes wine and/or beer tasting and a chili cook off!brbrMaximum guest occupancy is 16.br

The shuttle will pick you up right at the end of the driveway and bring you to the base of the mountain and back home when you're done skiing or drive up the road and drop your family off at the covered bridge for instant skiing. If you don't feel like driving, you can also walk a path to the base lodge/gondola which is only about .5 miles (but uphill so we wouldn't recommend this option in ski boots :) but perfect for a non-skier to get to the base lodge without driving and parking). brbrEnjoy the hot tub after a long day of skiing right off the front deck offering beautiful views of the mountain!brbr**Please note there are 4 night minimums for Christmas break and Presidents Day weekend. Thank you!!brbrIn the spring and summer the beautiful Stratton golf course is less than a mile down the road to golf 9 or 18. Or plan an afternoon of kayaking or paddle boarding at any of the close by ponds or reservoirs: brStratton Snow Making pond - less than 10 minutes away and easy on and off for your paddle board or kayak.brGrout Pond - about 20 min drive on the other side of Stratton mountain but so beautiful and clean. You can also fish here.brLowell Lake in Londonderry - 20 min and a beautiful location for kayaking and paddle boarding. It also has a 3.5 mile hike around the lake, picnicking, boating and fishing.brTownshend Lake - 20 minutes and perfect for picnics and outdoor recreation. The lake includes flush toilets, drinking water, playgrounds, volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, a swim beach and hiking trails available throughout the park. This lake is also stocked once a year with rainbow trout.brbrAlso keep a look out for fun events held by Stratton, like the tough mudder in early June or plan a day of mountain biking with some friends! Welcome to The Mushroom House. Located at the end of a private road, the house is less than 4 miles from Manchester`s outlet shopping, gorgeous hiking and unmatched dining. Our property features an open floor plan main floor with a kitchen, dining and living area that neighbors the master bedroom and bath. The back deck is a accented with string lights, a grill and comfortable outdoor furniture. Down stairs has two guest rooms with queens beds, a full bathroom and a den with full futon and tv.brbrThe mushroom house is on a 1.5 acre piece of property with a large Adirondack bonfire pit and creek side hammock accessed by a custom cut trail through the woods. This house is great during any month and is suitable for families, reunions or people looking to get way for the weekend.brbrWith an indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit it is important to mention that whatever firewood is there can be used but we do not guarantee there will be firewood stocked. The same goes for charcoal/propane for the grills. The best place to buy these supplies is at Shaw’s or Price Chopper in town. brbrWe do not split up weekends, Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together brbrStays during Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day are three days minimum, Friday to Monday, at the weekend rate. Additional days on the front or back end of the trip are brpermitted and will be charged the standard rate for that day. brbrThis house does not have air conditioning and hot summer days can get humid.
