Our family's rustic, roomy cabin is located on scenic Thompson's Point, nestled among cedars with stunning views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, close to the music of the waves and the clear, bright canopy of summer stars. The kitchen is small but functional. You can sit inside in the living area or on the small porch reading and/or enjoying the water, look for fossils on the rocky beach, or walk or bike on the private dirt roads. 20 minutes from the Shelburne Museum, 30 minutes from Burlington, easy access to the Green Mountains or the Adirondacks via the ferry. A favorite activity of ours is to park at the ferry dock, walk on to the ferry, ride to Essex while enjoying the breeze on the lake and the views of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks, get dinner and/or ice cream, and ride home looking at Mt.
