Minutes to great restaurants in Stowe and Waterbury.brbrThe house was built in 1868. The yard is open, park-like with more that a dozen distinctive, mature sugar maples. The downstairs windows and doors are original, wavy glass and all. The floors are original for the most part, too. The home has had only four family owners during its life who loved it very much and took care of it. Foundation laid by hand with some immense stonework visible. brbrGuests have access to all amenities and rooms in the house. brbrWe live in a nearby house on the property so we are accessible to guests if needed. brbrThe neighborhood: Quiet and rural in character. Single family homes for the most part on a paved road. brbrPublic transit (bus) available, but not very convenient. We are about 3 miles from Exit 10 on I-89 and a 25 minute drive to the base lodge of the Stowe Mountain Resort, 15 minutes to the Trapp Family Lodge. brbrNo smoking, no pets and no more than a total of 5 guests, please.
