This house is surround by the Green Mountain National Forest with a trail entrance on the block only 50 yards away which has a snowmobile trail entrance, hiking trails, cross country ski trails, snowshoe trails & biking trails. brQuiet and peaceful, but not remote. Take a 2-minute drive down the road to the famous 125-year-old Pittsfield Original General Store. The best place in the region for a warm meal, old time penny candy, growler beer selection, smoothies, groceries, a full wine cellar and lots of fun Vermont products and souvenirs. The town also has two restaurants, gas station and a beautiful Inn as well as a quant historic village square. brMain floor features include a cherry wood kitchen with stainless appliances, dining room & living room covered with authentic Vermont reclaimed barn board. Living room has a wood burning fireplace surrounded by local field stone and a large flat screen Smart TV. Sliding doors lead to an outdoor deck with beautiful views. Bedrooms on the main floor include a primary suite with queen bed & en suite bathroom with a flat screen Smart TV &. 2 additional large bedrooms (one with 2 twin beds, one with a full bed) both with large closets, big windows and beautiful views. There is also a large hall entry closet & separate indoor ski storage closet and main bathroom.brLower level features 10 foot ceilings, a large sunny family room/den with two full size leather sofas, huge windows, a 50 inch Smart flat screen TV & DVD, a game room with another Smart TV for video play, foosball table and dart board. There is also a large closet stocked with board games and a nice selection of DVD’s and books as well as a Wii game platform with accessories. In addition, there are two large bedrooms (one with full size bed and one with bunk beds + a twin bed.) Both bedrooms have nice size closets and large windows. brThe 5-acre property has 2 streams , an outdoor stone fire pit and plenty of woods to explore, and you can even sled right on the property! brNo matter which season you visit, you are surrounded by tranquil natural beauty. Stay a few days, a week, a month, or - if you prefer - have the house for the entire ski or summer season, allowing you to take advantage of the winter and summer sports opportunities.
