Our home is approximately 2000 sq. ft. and can accommodate 11 guests (13 if utilizing the queen air mattress located in the downstairs) It has undergone recent updates to include improved stairway with addition of a landing to access second floor, new exterior paint, fully fenced in yard for kids and dogs to play, a motorized gate at the highway, improved parking and all new bedding throughout the home. (Even if you have stayed with us before- you won’t believe the improvements.)brbrThe home is a two story/ split level container home. The downstairs has a beautiful river view with direct patio access. It has a queen bed, a two twin bunk bed, and a queen air mattress. There is also a spacious bathroom with a shower/ tub configuration. Additionally you can enjoy the nice sitting area where you can read and relax while taking in the sights and sounds of the river. brbrThe second level (main level) is where you will find an open floor plan with a spacious living room, fully stocked kitchen, laundry room and a magnificent river view. In addition there are two more bedrooms both with queen beds and two full bathrooms. The sofa in the living area makes out into a double bed with a memory foam mattress. (All linens and pillows for the fold out bed are located in the closet of the tan bedroom) brbr**PLEASE NOTE** This two story home has outdoor stairs required to access the main level. Please consider this if stairs are an issue for your mobility. brbrAll three of the queen beds have been equipped with Purple brand mattresses for maximum comfort. brbrThis home has two separate patios for your enjoyment. The downstairs patio is 900 covered sq. ft. and has everything you need to enjoy the river- large patio table with chairs, lounge chairs, large gas/ charcoal grill, huge outdoor fan, corn hole boards, fishing equipment, and a flat screen TV ready for streaming. The second floor patio is 300 sq. ft. of uncovered space to sit and enjoy the skies- day or night. brbrWe have tried to anticipate most things you would need to fully relax and enjoy your vacation, and have included the following items for your use- brbrAll linens/ towels/ toiletries/ cookware/ dinnerware/ utensils/ water toys/ kayaks and paddles/ grill/ fire pit by waters edge/ outdoor tv and many other things not listed. brbrThe best part of this property is the unique cypress lined and shaded river bank. We own 150 ft. of river front access with a white sandy beach area. Under the cypress trees there is an additional dining table with chairs, Adirondack chairs, and two hammocks to fully immerse yourself in Mother Nature. The water depths here range from 6” of rocky bottom to a 6’ swimming hole. We are fortunate that the river is always flowing even during times of drought. Fishing is fantastic in the upper/ deeper part of the river. With kayaks it is possible to explore much of the river from our location without a pickup service. brbrFrio River Paradise is not your average vacation rental. Puerto Cielo is a luxurious hilltop vacation Lodge with a gorgeous view of the Texas Hill country. It is situated 7.5 miles west of Leakey en route to Camp Wood on breath taking highway 337. The ranch has 640 acres that are abundant with native texas wildlife (White Tail, Turkey, etc ) and common exotic wildlife that exist in the hill country (Axis, Aoudad, Black Buck Antelope, etc ). The ranch has year round feeding program to help with the wildlife population so viewing of the theses animals and more should occur. People with more robust physical level may desire to hike around the trails and enjoy bluffs, vistas, creeks. There are enough elevation change to challenge the most avid hikers around; and of course there are close by parks like Garner & Lost Maple. The best part maybe to cool off after the hike or while tanning with a dip in the Indoor pool with hot tub. You can even enjoy the scenic hill country while in the pool. Adults and kids will enjoy the game room since there is a pool table, pin ball machine, xbox, xbox 360, card table, chess etc. Large screen HD TV. with satellite can be enjoyed as well. Two decks that run the canyon side of the home can be enjoyed for wildlife viewing / photography or just relaxing. Dinner time can be enjoyed with a well appointed kitchen or use one of the smoker / barbecue grill on the patio next to a fire pit. This would be a great time to use wildlife binoculars for the Moon or Planets; but a telescope is even better! .The Lodge even boast a spacious garage that you can Play cards or a make shift dance site during inclement weather. Amenities continued include a large comfortable sitting area for visiting or reading. Dinning indoor will be easy at the 8 place table and the 4 seat spacious kitchen bar. Of course you may just want to enjoy the eating outside on the patio under the gazebo. Finally, a large washer and dryer are available. brbrReady to sleep after rafting the close by Frio River or a long day of cruising the triple twisted sisters should be easy in one of the 6 bedrooms. The main floor includes a Master bedroom (king size bed) with a large flat screen TV with satellite, large bathroom with shower or jacuzzi tub and a walk in closet. Also on this level, 2 other bedrooms that include queen beds and closets that share a bathroom complete with bathtub / shower. There is another guest bedroom with a king size bed and closet next to a 1/2 bath. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds with the bottom being a full bed, and the top being a twin. While the other has only one similar bunk bed. the larger room also includes a sofa that opens to a queen sleeper. Another pull out sofa exist in the game room along with a day bed. brbrPuerto Cielo is great for family reunions or fun get away with friends. Events can be planned here as well.
