Motorcyclists love it as a center point for a Hill Country tour, and cycles are welcome here! Be aware the drive is a little steep, and is composed of Texas caliche, which can be challenging on a motorcycle.brbrOutside, you'll find covered parking. The Big Fern Cabin itself has a huge deck, furnished with an outdoor dining setup. The deck is shaded by oaks, and is designed around them, with their trunks rising through the deck itself. The 337 River House is a great getaway on a 1.7 acre lot on the Frio River in the town of Leakey, Texas. The main house and a bunkhouse are set way back from the road, and behind the houses, there is a tall swing set among shade trees, a gated volleyball pool, and a large covered pavilion near the steps that lead down the riverbank to the river. Enjoy the large smoker grill, fire pit, and horseshoes near the private river entrance and no across the river neighbors!brbrTHE MAIN HOUSE: Sleeps 10 in 3 Bedroomsbr- Downstairs corner BR: 2 Queen beds plus attached full bath with shower br- Middle Bedroom: 1 Queen bed; stairs from this bedroom lead to upstairs bedroombr- Upstairs bedroom: 2 Queen beds plus attached full bath with bathtub; has TV and balcony access. Please wash all dishes. Empty all trash cans and take bagged trash to the dumpster at the front of the property. Step off the shaded front porch around to the deck, which offers outdoor seating, grilling and dining. Adjacent the deck, find a treelined outdoor shower (with hot water) where you can wash off in the private wilderness. (There's really nothing else like it.) In the evening, enjoy a chat by the fireside, resting in style on a large Adirondack chair set in the open air for an expansive experience of the night sky.
