Come escape and relax with us at Green Acres.brbrThe space:brThe Trailette is one of our oldest most characteristic campers coming to us all the way from 1952! It is 24 feet long & comes complete with a Queen size bed in the bedroom, a kitchen area with its original 52" porcelain sink, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig Coffee Maker, and even a lava lamp! The front futon lays out into an extra bed measuring 4'x6' which is almost a Full size bed.brbrWhen we bought this camper it needed a lot of tender, love and care! The previous owner thought she was an artist & painted all the cabinets an array of metallic colors that took away from her unique original appeal and the floor had seen better days! After 6 months of restoration, we finally have this beauty back to her original shape with modern decor to add to our collection of vintage campers! She now sits in our Tin Can Park alongside The Avion and The Ambassador. We added a 24 ft x 6 ft deck to the front and there is a large open front yard and backyard area. This camper even has its own working toilet inside! But mind you.... it is airplane SMALL!! After not having bathrooms in our first 8 cabins/campers, we realized some people just need a place to go in case of a 'middle of the night' emergency! While we do have a luxurious bathhouse with full bathrooms, the bathroom in the Trailette serves a great purpose for those middle of the night surprises!brbrOur property, Green Acres is a unique spot that offers our guests a chance to enjoy a little Southern Hospitality in the Texas hill country & experience glamping all in one. We have 11 newly renovated tiny homes/RVs that each have their own flair inside. We have 7 vintage campers that each have their own story to tell and 4 cozy decorated cabins. Although this camper is equipped with its own bathroom, you also have access to the Spa inspired Bath House that consists of 4 bathrooms (2 have indoor showers), and 2 outdoor showers, a community sitting area, laundry room, full-size refrigerator, ice machine, and sink. Each unit has access to the outdoor areas and playground, hammocks, BBQ pits, fire pits (must follow county guidelines if there is a burn ban in effect), corn hole, washers, room to walk and enjoy our property, a dog park, and outdoor dining areas.brbrThe property is pet friendly. We have custom dog wash station, with oat meal shampoo, custom towels to dry off. We have a very safe fence area for the dogs to run. They are welcome to be on grounds, we would suggest they stay on a leash because of other guests & we do have free-range ducks and chickens that roam on the back half of the property. The property is 100% fenced, but the front fence is a rail fence and will not keep them from adventuring off into the highway. Please make sure they take care of “business” outside the main park areas.     For larger party needs we have another tiny home on our land. See luxury lake travis hill country cottage on VRBO- This cottage is on our land too. This is a almost new RV with dual slide outs. We have upgraded the decor to make if feel more like home. There is a very comfortable queen size foam bed in the master bedroom. Plenty of space to sleep 4 guests. Great privacy as this RV is nestled into our peach trees. Has a firepit and out door table space. The property is out far enough in the country where you can peacefully enjoy the stars while nestled under the canopy of trees.Up to two dogs are ok. No cats or other animals. Pet fee of 25.00 will be billed to clean dog hair. No smoking allowed $200 fee if smoking is observed.brbrRV's have many great features. But they are RV's. If you have never been in a RV below will help explain some of the natural living expectations. brbrUpdated 8-20-24 We have recently added 2 brand new Mini Split high efficiency AC systems. There is a dedicated unit for the master bedroom and one for the main house. These units will keep the space very cold or warm when you need it. brbrThe RV is stabilized by metal jacks, one at each corner of the RV. These jack provide stabilization; however there is more bounce in the floor than a normal home. br brThe exterior walls are made from 2" of compressed foam. This make it lightbrfor towing. This wall depth makes it so outside sounds are more likely to be heard. This is a rural setting so you likely only hear birds, owls and some distant coyote howling. brbrThe air conditioner is on the loud side. There are two units, and both soundbrlike a loud box fan. Creates some good white noise, but if your looking for absolute quiet, these A/C's are not for you.brbrWhen it comes to taking a shower you only have 4 gallons of hot water. The showers you take will be shorter than you are used to in normal home. The shower head has a push button to keep the water from continually running. You suds up with the water off, then rinse off. brbrThere is one slide out that sits up about 1 inch higher than the floor of the family room. This can create a slight tripping hazard. brbrPlease understand this experience is more like a glamping experience. Much better than a tent but it is not a home. Please do not book this unit if your expectations are not of what you would expect a glamping stay to be. brbrWe have received a few bad reviews ( many great 5 star reviews too) but the people who gave poor reviews had different expectations. Update fall 2023, while the views and peace are as great as ever, the Pedernales River is more of a creek than a river. We are across from the Blissful Hill wedding venue.brbrOur home sits up on a bluff overlooking the Pedernales river with river and canyon views. The river is low right now, but there is still water to gaze out on, along with lots of sky, birds, canyons, and an expansive feeling of nature.brbr There is complete privacy on one side of the home where our two year old hot tub (serviced weekly) is located. There are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two doubles. There is one full bath and a second half bath. . There is a flat screen TV in the living and each of the bedrooms. brbrIf you start craving action, we are centrally located between Austin and Marble Falls and only 15 minutes to the Lakeway Hill Country Galleria's restaurants, shops and theaters. Or maybe just open a bottle of wine and hang out on the deck on the porch swing. Or take off down to Krause Spring's famous spring-fed swimming hole and butterfly garden a couple minutes a way.
