The Bunkhouse is one of 4 vacation rentals on a 60 acre property of rolling hills on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. The house sits on top of one of the highest hills in the area so from there you have fantastic views of the countryside. Just outside the yard fence cows are grazing. Come sit on the porch swing and enjoy the fresh air and ever-present breezes. Surrounding the house are ancient live oaks which have lived there since before the German immigrants who settled the area arrived in the mid 1800's. And even though you are in the quiet of the country it is only a few minutes to the towns of New Braunfels, Seguin or San Marcos. All three offer visitors a variety of attractions plus many restaurants, shops and recreational opportunities. And in just about 30 to 45 minutes you can drive to San Antonio or Austin and enjoy all that those cities have to offer.brThe house has 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed plus there is a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. The kitchen and living/dining areas provide a nice open space to gather. There is a separate utility room with washer and dryer. On the wrap-around porch are picnic tables, chairs and a porch swing. A charcoal grill is provided. A small fenced yard is a good place for your pets or children to play. But you can also enjoy the ample space outside the yard fence!brbr

The property is clean and well maintained and run by a friendly, professionally staff. Our glamping cabins have everything you need to be comfortable while enjoying the outdoors.brbrThe spacebrRelax in nature with all the comforts and conveniences of home! Don't be fooled by the tent look, our Glamping Cabins are double walled, insulated and air-conditioned/heated and come with kitchenette a comfortable queen bed and twin day bed with linens, pillows and blankets. There isn't much in the immediate area as far as restaurants and shopping so it's best to bring your own food and plan to cook and BBQ. We do have a convenience store and Dollar General located a few miles away as well a local favorite restaurant called Franks. A little further out you will find some of the best BBQ in the state in both Lockhart and Luling! If you head to Lockhart try Smitty's or Black's BBQ in Luling the place to go is City Market! Blue Lotus winery is also not far away as well as BS Brewery.

Each bathroom is lockable and private.brWhile at Blue River Camp, rent a riverside cabana or covered picnic table for the day or evening and go tubing, kayaking or fishing! Hang out at the river, lay in a hammock, tube, kayak, BBQ, play beach volleyball, swim, fish, roast marshmallows under the stars and more! Son's Blue River Camp has it all!brbrSon's River Ranch is only 2 miles up the river and is our tubing put in location. During the warmer months we have shuttle vans and buses taking gusts upriver to enjoy a nice float back down to Son's Blue River Camp. The trip takes around 2 hours to tube and is very enjoyable!

The property is clean and well maintained and run by a friendly, professionally staff. Our glamping cabins have everything you need to be comfortable while enjoying the outdoors.brbrThe spacebrRelax in nature with all the comforts and conveniences of home! Don't be fooled by the tent look, our Glamping Cabins are double walled, insulated and air-conditioned/heated and come with kitchenette a comfortable queen bed and twin day bed with linens, pillows and blankets. It has everything you need to be comfortable while enjoying the outdoors! brbr brbrThe wood walls and peeled log beams add to a modern rustic charm. There is a large screened-in back porch with a view of the park and river that is perfect for hanging out and relaxing. We are surrounded by large farms and ranches so the views are very nice, and the feel is peaceful and relaxing! We have an electric BBQ pit located on the back porch for easy grilling and a charcoal pit in the side yard. The cabin also has a firepit and picnic table for roasting marshmallows and star gazing at night! brbr brbrCabin features include central air-conditioning/heating, a full bathroom with a hot water shower, a full kitchen with range, microwave, oven, cooktop, coffee maker, full-sized fridge, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware, a full bathroom with a hot water shower.
