Private Hot Tub + Fire Pit Access + Covered Deck + Mountain Views | Jack's Cabin

Townsend, Tennessee, United States

There's a reason they call this the Peaceful Side of the Smokies. Tucked into the ridgelines above Townsend, Tennessee — one of the quieter, more unhurried gateways into Great Smoky Mountains National Park — Jack's Cabin sits on its own slice of wooded hillside with long mountain views, warm wood-wrapped interiors, and everything you need to completely decompress. Downtown Townsend sits about 7 minutes away, and two park entrances are roughly 9 minutes from the door.brbrStep inside and the open-concept main level sets the tone. Vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, oversized windows pulling in natural light and treetop views, a living room anchored by a stone fireplace for cold-weather nights, and a full kitchen with a dining table that seats six — it's a comfortable, lived-in space that feels genuinely welcoming rather than staged. Two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bath, give everyone their own breathing room: a king suite on the main level (with a jetted jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower in the bath) and a queen upstairs, plus a queen sleeper sofa in the living room for extra guests.brbrOutside is where the cabin really earns its keep. A wraparound screened porch with rocking chairs keeps you connected to the trees without the bugs. Slip into the hot tub under a canopy of branches, gather around the fire pit as the air cools and the stars come out, and let the quiet of the hillside do its thing. It's the kind of outdoor setup that turns a long weekend into the thing everyone talks about for months.brbrTownsend itself is the slow-living counterpart to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg — tubing on the Little River, the Townsend Wye swimming hole, scenic drives through Cades Cove, and easy access to some of the park's best hiking without the crowds. When you're ready for a livelier day, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are a scenic 30-minute drive over the mountain.brbrAvantStay provides a personalized hospitality experience to elevate your stay. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.br*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem. br*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors. br*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc. brbrFEES: The management company of this cabin charges a $20 per stay Damage Waiver Fee to every customer. It is automatically included in your rate. This covers our guests for up to $350 worth of accidental damage should damage occur during their stay. If damage occurs to the cabin, furnishings, etc, please report it to management as soon as possible so that the damage can be repaired. You may opt out of paying the $20 damage waiver fee by putting down a $350 REFUNDABLE damage deposit. brbr✨ Peace of Mind & Travel Insurance:brI want your stay to be stress-free and enjoyable. Please note that this home has a strict cancellation policy. Because life can be unpredictable, we encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance for extra peace of mind. This way, you can book with confidence knowing you’re protected no matter what comes up. This can be done at www.insuremytrip.com where you can pick the coverage that suits your situation.
