I love Townsend and visit often. I really enjoyed this cabin for several reasons. First, it is very close to the restaurants/stores/etc. in the town. Yet, it still feels in the country. So, the location is excellent. Second, the Country Manor property has a lot going on to keep you entertained when just chilling on the porch. My first night they had a wedding on site and it was cool to see all that they did to make that special (bride and groom ridding in and out on horses, for example!). There is plenty of animal life with the horses and the stables, goats, chickens, and a friendly dog. There seemed to be many guests and visitors who enjoyed the horse back and carriage rides. There is just a nice family-friendly and fun active vibe to the property, which was nice. Third, these are very nice and easy (chill) to work with property managers (Jeff and Nicole). Some rentals are a bit much with the instructions, etc. (you get a list of 10 chores you have to do just to check out!). This was not the case here, it was easy come, easy go -which I really appreciated. This bunk house was perfect for me as a solo traveler and had everything I needed but would be perfect for couples (and has bunks in the living room that would work for some kiddos). They have other cabins on the property for larger groups. It really is the overall Country Manor grounds that makes this unique and I highly recommend staying at any of their cabins.
