Beautiful and NEW cottage located at the Cottages at Getaway Cove in beautiful Smithville, TN and near Center Hill Lake. Sitting on a sprawling 13 acres of land full of wildlife. There is plenty of room for boat trailer parking if you need it. The cottage is less than 1/2 mile to Four Seasons marina and boat dock, which is located in the subdivision. The cottage is a perfect getaway for families and kids love the bunk room. The home is perfect to rent alone, but we have another cottage next door that family and friends can rent as well. There is a grilling pavilion for fun cookouts and get togethers that’s covered with gas grill. The pavilion is shared with one cottage located next door. There is a three night minimum booking for Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day and Wake Fest.

The logs are of dense American white oak, which was the preferred Lumber due to its strength, durability and size. Utilization of the joint method of construction indicates it was built in 1820's. The cabin was tagged and moved to Center Hill Lake Tennessee. brbrA new concrete walk out basement was built to the exact specifications of the cabin. The basement is constructed of thick outer layers of rigid insulation and a rebar and concrete inner core. The logs were rebuilt using a specialized cabin restoration company, the same people that dismantled it. The roof is constructed with heavy panels and there are double glazed windows throughout the home.

As with most properties around Center Hill Lake, there's a bit of hilliness to the landscape, which contributes to the area's natural beauty. The walk to the cabin includes about 25 steps and a somewhat steep walk down to the lake, so we do recommend that guests with mobility concerns or very young children take this into consideration when booking.brbrOur cabin is cozy, rustic, and full of character, with some signs of its age from years of family memories and shared moments with our guests. While it's not new or fancy, we like to think of it as a comfy, well-loved space—sort of like your favorite pair of jeans.
