Sunday Morning (Dog-Friendly)

The host cancelled our stay for this place and gave us other choices so this review is technically for Scout’s Hideaway. Hallway bathroom was unusable. Smelled like sewer two days before we checked out. Slow drains in the hallway bathroom. Bugs everywhere in the house. Oven and grill need to be replaced. Grill is not usable. Pathway from the garage/driveway is dangerous. Leaves were not picked up and there is no lighting. There’s a lot more negatives than positives. House could have been cleaned from dead bugs and leaves before our arrival. Would not recommend for a stay.

Check-in and out where extremely easy. This was a family vacation so fishing along the water’s edge resulted in many blue gill and flat headed catfish. The house is a true cottage/ cabin situation so be mindful of poison ivy and low lighting in the kitchen. Overall the house worked well for the dog and all family members.

Overall I wouldn’t recommend this house. There are clearly structural issues. There isn’t an even floor, counter or window in the place. I could get over that. What I couldn’t get over was the horrible communication. When we got to the house, we found a washer full of dirty towels. I mentioned it to the rental company, and they never responded. The other thing that was never mentioned, was that apparently the power goes out frequently. We were there 4 1/2 days and lost power twice for several hours. Once again, I reached out to the rental company and 10 hours later they finally responded telling me that the outages don’t normally last long. The first time it was out for just over 2 hours, the 2nd time I’m not sure how long it lasted because we left after about an hour. The problem is that once you lose power, you don’t have access to wi-fi, so you have to drive back to the main road in order to call the power company to check the status of the outage.

WOW! My husband and our four friends had the most incredible time at this property! The property itself was cute as a button with two glorious wrap-around porches, a VERY well-stocked kitchen which made cooking a breeze, and it was clean and comfortable with enough seating and social areas. I think we used every room in the house!This property has some essentials I always care about: 1. Extremely comfortable beds and the ability to stay cool at night. 2. Good water pressure in the shower!3. SO MUCH STUFF TO DO! The trek down to the water definitely is steep, but we had so much fun swimming in the lake below. We loved the pool table and even utilized some of the tabletop games they have stored downstairs. Lovely setting. We would definitely return! This property is absolutely ideal for groups of friends who want to get away from it all. The stairs do make it more ideal for an older crowd; kids 8 and older would get a kick out of it. Any younger, and you'll have to keep a close eye on them around the stairs, though they did provide a child gate. :)Honestly, I loved this experience. The hosts were great, the location was great, and we had just a magical time!

Do not book this vacation property. Mold everywhere and property was very dirty. Definitely not maintained properly. Deck unsafe for anyone .

Decently clean, cute cabin vibes. Had a great stay. The stairs are alot but you are warned about them. The AC isnt the best and is quite loud in the downstairs rooms.

We had everything we needed and more. Space was clean and spacious. We all loved the downstairs game area. There was quite a bit of poison ivy around the property so just a heads up foe those with small kids not to let them wander. Otherwise, great stay!

Sunday Morning was a beautiful cabin tucked into the woods of Tennessee. Our kids loved the wrap around porch, basement, hot tub, and being surrounded by woods. The only down side was it was a steep walk down to the water for fishing with small kids with no grassy areas for them to play. This just wasn’t described in the property details, but it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. We all enjoyed the tranquility! Thank you for a great stay.

We enjoyed the house and location. It was perfect for me and my teenage sons.

Only issue we really had would have to be the stairs. There are so many stairs to get to and from the cabin. We knew about this prior it check in and were ok with it. The stairs aren’t well taken care of, so after rain they become very slippery! The rope lights that line it are no longer working. So, the stairs become a death trap. Multiple slips and falls.

Overall had a wonderful week. Area was perfect and we found lots to do around the lake. House met our needs but was a bit worn and had foundation issues. We were made aware of the issues before our trip but weren’t willing to cancel our trip.

A real lake house experience. Nestled in the trees and you can hear boats on the water below. There is a trail down to the edge but we didnt walk down. The house is older but nothing really out of sorts. Super clean! Well appointed with comfy beds, plenty of towels, lots of dishwater and cookware, spices and such in cabinets. A good grill for barbecue. Hot tub was excellent! This was a great base for us as we kayaked to Burgess Falls.
