We had a little difficulty finding the house because there are no address numbers visible. The house is located very near a railroad. However, the pin on the map on the site indicates the house is located much further from the railroad. We left a day early because we were not able to rest at night due to the train horn blaring throughout the night! We would not have chosen to stay here had the map been correct. The house was clean and welcoming. However, the bed is located in what is basically a hallway between the kitchen area and the livingroom. The bed partially blocked the doorway from the kitchen and rendered the door useless. This house would not be accessible for anyone who uses locomotion other than walking. There is no privacy between the bedroom area and the other areas of the house. The only bathroom is located in the bedroom area. Also, there is no door separating the bedroom from the livingroom. So, everyone had to go to bed at the same time.Basically, this would be a great place for a couple who doesn't need privacy and is used to living beside a train track. It was not a great fit for my family.

Please see my previous review for more info. These are some extra details:The towels and sheets are all provided. There are also cleaning supplies that are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, aluminum foil, ziplock bags, both cooking and serving utensils, regular dishes and glasses as well as the paper plates and plastic cups. There are hand soaps at all of the sinks and even dishwasher pucks. Paper towels and toilet paper is also provided. There is also laundry detergent. There is an ironing board and iron in the closet. A hair dryer is under the bathroom sink. All of the appliances work well except the microwave turntable does not rotate. The hot water is HOT! Trash bags are also provided. Trash day is Tuesday not the Wednesday that is notated in the rental notes. These are some recommendations:I would have loved a dedicated cabinet or 2 for the food that I brought so that it did not take up all of the counter space. I would have loved a small table in the bathroom to place my clothing on while showering.Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again, and I plan to!

This house was not what we expected. My son and I rented this house for an initial 12-day stay which turned into a 3-week stay. The first thing that I did not expect was that the keypad entry was on the back door, not the front one. The second thing I did not expect was that the “bedroom” was in the middle of the house with no doors for privacy. (To be fair, there is one door separating the bedroom from the kitchen at the back of the house, however the footboard of the bed blocks the door from closing.) The third thing that I did not expect was that the bedroom TV was not useable. Not only was it not plugged in, it was no where near an electrical outlet. The fourth thing that I did not expect was how loud the train was as it goes by about 5 times a day (at all times of day and night). This house was not what we expected. Sitting at the kitchen bar-height table looking out of the window, I did not expect to see the sun rise over the mountains. I did not expect sitting on the front porch enjoying the sunset with a gentle breeze blowing. I did not expect that the street is quiet, safe and peaceful. I did not expect for this little house to feel like . . . home.Debbie responded quickly to any and all questions and concerns I had regarding the reservation and the house.(See my second review for extra details and recommendations)
